Air Traffic Controller - West Dublin
Our client, a leading aviation services provider based in West Dublin, is currently seeking an experienced Air Traffic Controller to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, regulated environment handling a diverse mix of traffic including training flights and business jets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control air and ground traffic efficiently.
- Monitor weather updates and air traffic conditions.
- Provide timely information on flight delays, runway status, and operational changes.
- Respond to customer queries and emergency situations.
- Coordinate with adjacent air traffic control centres.
- Inspect and maintain operational equipment including radios, computers, and radar systems.
- Alert team members to emergencies and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain detailed reports on flight plans and operational activities.
- Issue landing and take-off instructions to pilots.
- Monitor aircraft movements using radar and visual references.
- Regulate ground traffic to ensure the safety of passengers and vehicles.
- Provide back-office support as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Air Traffic Controller. (Student places are also available. Those with Student ATC Licenses can apply)
- Relevant qualifications and ratings to perform the role.
- Proficiency with air traffic monitoring equipment (radar, radio, computer systems).
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and organisational capabilities.
- High attention to detail and strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Title - Ireland West Airport has a current opportunity to train someone as an Air Traffic Services Engineer.
Purpose of Post
Working as part of a team the purpose is to ensure that the Technical Services Department provides high quality Aerodrome Technical/Engineering services in conjunction with oversight of local I.T Internal infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Technical Services
- Day to day support on all aspects of the Aerodrome Technical Services Department
- Become proficient in use and maintenance of all navigational aids and systems. Ensure their compliance with statutory and Irish Aviation Authority requirements and maintain to international standards & recommended practices.
- Ensure all equipment associated with the operation of the Aerodrome Technical Department is maintained including log keeping and records.
- Compliance with all Health & Safety Legislation and report all accidents and incidents to your manager who will ensure they are fully investigated, and corrective action is taken to prevent reoccurrence.
- Undertake training to acquire new disciplines and skills pertinent to the role as required.
Person Requirements
Suitable applicants will ideally have:
- Third level qualification in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Avionics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Training in IT, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science.
- RF (Radio Frequency) Theory Training.
- Fault finding techniques to component level.
- Understand and interpret circuit diagrams explaining function.
- Demonstrates ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent customer facing and customer service skills, professional and service focused manner.
- Flexible and adaptable in nature, the successful candidate will require the ability to cope with varying demands on their time and experience and do so in a professional, capable manner.
- Willingness and availability to work on a shift basis which will include some weekends as per the roster requirements in order to meet the operational needs.
- Proficiency in the English language, verbal and written.
- Ideally based or available in the locality for quick on call response where necessary.
