ORange Recruitment are looking for a dynamic and skilled Health and Safety professional to contribute to the safe delivery of infrastructure projects. The role involves supporting all phases of project development, from early planning through to final completion by ensuring safety standards are embedded into daily site operations. This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to lead by example, reduce workplace risks, and help foster a strong safety-first culture across all teams. Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to national health and safety legislation, industry standards, and internal company policies across infrastructure development sites. Carry out frequent site-based safety checks, audits, and risk evaluations, identifying issues and recommending practical solutions. Work closely with project teams, including site leads, contractors, and subcontractors, to promote and maintain safe working methods. Contribute to the preparation and review of Health and Safety documentation, including project-specific safety plans, RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and emergency response protocols. Lead or support investigations following incidents or near misses, prepare comprehensive findings reports, and help implement preventative measures. Provide on-site safety training, including induction sessions and toolbox talks, ensuring personnel are up to date with safety protocols. Maintain thorough and accurate records of inspections, training activities, incident reports, and compliance documentation. Support and coordinate health and safety improvement initiatives and contribute to continuous development programs across the organisation. Communicate and collaborate with external regulatory bodies such as the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) to ensure statutory compliance. Assist with preparing regular reports on health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) metrics for project stakeholders and senior leadership Required Qualifications and Experience: NEBOSH Construction Certificate or an equivalent qualification recognised within Ireland or the EU. 3 to 5 years' experience in a health and safety position within civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or construction environments. Strong working knowledge of Irish safety legislation and construction site regulations. Experience in conducting formal site assessments, audits, and incident investigations. Strong interpersonal, organisational, and written communication skills. Familiarity with digital tools for H&S reporting and standard office software. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between project locations as needed. Skills: Compliance EHS Utilities
