Job Description
Music Generation DLR is a performance music education programme in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown, providing access to a range of vocal and instrumental music opportunities for children and young people in their local area. This initiative has been made possible by the strong partnership between DDLETB and Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
Initiated by Music Network, Music Generation is co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, the Department of Education and Local Music Education Partnerships (LMEPs). Locally, Music Generation DLR is supported and funded by DDLETB and DLR County Council.
DDLETB, on behalf of Music Generation DLR wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified Musician Educators to deliver the following programme strands:
· Songwriting , Music Production & D.J
· Popular Music to include rock, pop, folk & Hip-Hop (vocal & instrumental)
· Classical Strings
· Early years music
· Music with therapeutic outcomes
Musician Educators within these chosen areas of expertise will be expected to work in (but not limited to) the following environments:
- Small group tuition/facilitation in vocal (including choral) or instrumental learning (including after school hubs/settings)
- Large-group tuition/facilitation (vocal and/or instrumental) in early years, primary/secondary school and after school hub settings
- Ensemble (instrumental/vocal), band facilitation, mentoring in any genre of music, including, where applicable, song-writing/creative composition, music technology etc.

D400 - Musician Educator - Violin
Music Generation Meath
(One part time position to cover the leave of another employee up to 08/12/25)
(Experience teaching violin to children and young people from age 7/8 upwards in small group classes. Non genre specific.)
