AIOps Algorithm Engineer

About the job:

We are looking for a (Senior) Algorithm Engineer to join our AIOps team in Dublin. This team is involved in developing key machine learning and optimization solutions for Huawei Cloud. He/she will work on designing and building intelligent solutions for cloud management, e.g. self-optimization (resource allocation) and self-healing (anomaly detection and fault localization). We particularly encourage applicants with domain knowledge of Cloud SRE (Site Reliability Engineering).

Qualified candidates should be able to handle multiple tasks in parallel and ensure those can be completed on time and with high quality.

Responsibilities:

Apply machine learning, statistical learning, optimization, and related algorithms to investigate, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient solutions to tackle business challenges, such as optimizing SRE solutions to lower cost and improve efficiency.

• Conduct a scientific comparative analysis of traditional approaches for networks with the newly developed AI and causality analysis techniques.
• Encapsulate the analytics/optimization modules into workable research proof-of-concepts or/and production systems.
• Handle huge amounts of data and hence, build scalable models and optimization algorithms.
• Participate in the design and development of the algorithm part of SRE solutions for Cloud management

PhD or Master in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Math, etc.) with years of experience applying analytics and optimization techniques to real-world problems.

Good mathematics and statistics background.

• Excellent coding skills (Python).
• Strong experience of deep learning programming frameworks such as Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Experience with graph theory and convex optimization.
• Experience in deploying open-source solutions.
• Experience working with and proficient in Supervised Learning, Unsupervised Learning, and Semi-Supervised Learning algorithms
• Experience in Public Cloud management is a great plus.
• Experience in SRE is a great plus.
