This is a fantastic opportunity to join a motivated and ambitious team who are continuously looking to enhance and develop new sales with the Water Utilities market.

If you are an experienced sales professional based in Ireland and eager to join an enthusiastic team within a market leader such as Grundfos then this could be the place for you.  
 

What is the job about? 

The Area Sales Manager position based in the South of Ireland is responsible for securing profitable business by achieving and exceeding defined sales targets. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a target driven environment working with and alongside likeminded professionals. You will also enjoy networking and have exceptional people skills with the ability to persuade and influence key stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities: 

•    Develop and execute the business plan and realize sales top and bottom line target in the responsible area.
•    Adherence to sales policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance
•    Develop and maintain end-user, contractor and consultant network.
•    Develop end-user and contractor competencies. 
•    Build up and maintain good relationships with all external stakeholders, including end users, design institutes, consulting firms, water authorities, etc.
•    According to sales target, work out sales strategy and action plan in the specific business area of the specific region.  
•    Manage and maintain Opportunity Pipeline and Business plan in line with local guidelines, and support finance with customer outstanding balances (aged debt). 

Your background: 
As our new Area Sales Manager you will ideally have good communication and presenting skills and the ability to cope with pressure, setbacks and ambiguity.

We imagine that you have:  

•    An education or experience in Water or Wastewater Engineering or Environment Engineering.
•   Sales experience in the field of water/ waste water treatment either in process or products.
•    Experience or the ability to understand controls/automation equipment, typically used in the UK water industry
•    Knowledge of pumping and associated equipment within the water industry would be very beneficial but not essential.
