What you’ll be doing...
As an Associate Director for Technical Project Management you will be responsible for overseeing multiple teams that focus on creating and driving processes for identifying, evaluating, prioritizing solution innovations and improvements, as well as ensuring their timely execution.
Your role requires extensive partnering within Global Supply Chain, Sourcing and Sustainability along with Global Technology Services and solution providers offering cloud-based software, 3rd party developers and a variety of stakeholder groups across Verizon . You will lead multiple Senior Managers teams. Your team's lead Supply Chain related projects involving cross functional teams at an aggressive pace on an enterprise-wide scale. You will also have significant leadership experience, demonstrated successes driving cross- functional process improvement, enabling tangible benefit to the business. This position is a strategic role and is the catalyst for driving continuous improvement while leading the business deployment of supply chain processes and solutions. Responsibilities also include organizational leadership, project management, business process subject matter expertise to implement solutions, data quality management, business acceptance testing, delivery of training programs, and communication of the improvement initiatives.
This is a high impact, highly visible, multi-business/multi-region position in the Global Supply Chain organization. You are a key member of a leading-edge team responsible for initiating and executing strategic efforts across Verizon’s Global Supply Chain, Sourcing and Sustainability organization.
You will be responsible for:
Providing direction and guidance on strategic initiatives from inception to implementation
Collaborating and driving transformation efforts for diverse range of complex initiatives, driving discussions across Global Supply Chain, Sourcing and Sustainability
Creating self serving, self sufficient teams of business process solution architects and support personnel
Managing the multiple strategic initiatives and enablers across Global Supply Chain, Sourcing and Sustainability
Leading the execution of the transformational improvements and proactively identifying dependencies, technical or business related
Assist the team on finding solutions for obstacles to meet committed deliverables,
Provide process and application expertise, plan and guide division of work across team members
Utilizing business process insight and application knowledge
Completing regular strategic assessment of Verizon’s end-to-end Supply Chain, Sourcing and Sustainability operations and analytical tools, identifying opportunities, disconnects and gaps
Working with all stakeholder directors and IT counterparts to set objectives for technology improvements in alignment with organizational and business unit strategies and objectives
Building a culture of highly motivated team members that are focused on speed and agility resulting in customer satisfaction through innovation and silo busting
Developing talent, mentor and coach teams to drive continuous growth and improvement with focus on reducing time to market on our strategic goals, understanding business criticality, and removing complexity

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
Relevant work experience within a similar role
Experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing and/or Sustainability operations
Experience with process design, reviews and improvement strategies
Experience with direct people management, including leadership of diverse global teams
Proven experience building deep relationships and driving strong collaboration with IT and across other lines of business
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Master’s degree
Strong executive presence, with proactive sense of ownership and a keen eye to look ahead, plan and execute
Proven experience in leading complex projects by bringing together the right perspectives, identifying roadblocks and integrating feedback from clients and team members
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and operations skills
Experience in supporting SAP tool suites (S4 HANA, Ariba, IBP, MDG)
Experience using Google G-Suite Applications and Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects with frequent interruptions
Proven ability to lead and motivate others
