What you’ll be doing...

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Associate Director for Network Supply Chain to join the team, this position will oversee the day to day onsite supply planning operations for Verizon Network Inventory.

 As an Associate Director in Supply Chain, you will be leading multiple teams of capable professionals across a variety of high visibility functions and you will play a pivotal role in the success of the Planning team. Your responsibilities will include supply planning, CPFR processes, interpreting forecasts, managing purchase orders, vendor collaboration, and cross-functional team coordination. The ability to interpret data, leverage analytics to make decisions, and drive change will be essential to your success in this role. 

You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the activities of the onsite planning team and monitor Key Performance Indicators to ensure our commitment to service level agreements is achieved. 

You will lead the planning team to anticipate the impact of upcoming marketing shifts, interpret data to make informed decisions and will aim to reduce expenses and limit capital purchases to reach operational efficiencies and a proper balance of available inventory. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading a team to Define, develop, and manage daily supply planning, purchasing, and inventory optimization needs for a vast assortment of Verizon products and services.

  • Ensuring consistent and adequate supply to maintain established service level targets for the entire product portfolio while maximizing working capital.

  • Managing consensus supply and demand forecasting cycle to ensure market demand and supply are balanced, as well as generating key reports and metrics.

  • Leading a team to support ERP and IBP planning activities, including but not limited to report generation, remote receiving, inbound supply and open PO management, planning support for Regional Distribution Center (RDC) programs, and utilizing key ERP and IBP planning modules .

  • Owning supplier relationships with a deep upstream view and focus on suppliers end-to-end supply chain to identify possible risks to supply continuity.

  • Managing suppliers through Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) processes.

  • Performance management of OEM vendors to fulfill contractual obligations regarding PO fulfillment, on-time delivery, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.

  • Strategically adjusting inventory levels based on market conditions, promotions, and demand fluctuations.

  • Communicating launch readiness supply plans to senior leadership and address supply health concerns during S&OP processes.

  • Acting as key change agent to define and implement continuous process improvement initiatives and inventory optimization strategies.

  • Leveraging analytics to ensure adequate supply to meet service levels.

  • Partnering cross functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, engineering, logistics and operations) to support new product launches and network infrastructure deployments.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relevant work experience.

  • Experience within Supply Chain or related industries.

  • Experience in Product development best practices, Inventory planning, replenishment, S&OP and CPFR processes

  • Experience within a leadership role.

  • Vendor management experience and ability to manage a subset of suppliers effectively.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • An advanced degree such as a Masters degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Supply Chain or Planning Experience, preferably in a telecom or high-tech environment.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of relationship management.

  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office and Google applications, coupled with strong attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
