The Automation Utilities System Engineer would be accountable for the design, build and integration of the operating systems, application software, networks, and the interfaces between enterprise and building management control systems to form a complete system used to automate the Building Management System required to support facilities, lab systems and manufacture of biopharmaceuticals at the Raheen facility. Also responsible for ensuring maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance to relevant SOP’s and GxP requirements. The position will involve start-up, normal operation, monitoring and alarm handling, administration of the Regeneron’s Building Management System. Regeneron’s Building Management System will monitor and control HVAC, CTUs, Utility Plant, and Process Alarms related to facilities, manufacturing & lab systems.
Note – Building Management Systems (BMS) are comparable to Building Automation Systems (BAS).
A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:
Fulfilling the role of (SME) Subject Matter Expert relating to all BAS (Building Automation Systems) and QBAS (Qualified Building Automation Systems) requirements
Ensuring documentation of maintenance activities to GxP standards in paper-based records & CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) system
Full SME ownership of Siemens Desigo BAS software, management and configuration from Server to DPU
Full SME ownership of Siemens BAS hardware and related field I/O hardware
Administrating and managing of the OEM vendor for complete support including the management of Service Level Agreements.
Providing BAS, QBAS, HVAC, Refrigeration, Instrumentation/Calibration support to Facilities, Quality Assurance Team, Engineering and Operations
Administrating of contract HVAC/Refrigeration personnel and to insure compliance with all regulatory codes
Supporting continuous improvement, 5S and Lean Initiatives.
Supporting PM activities related to system maintenance
Ability to support maintenance/troubleshooting of BAS/QBAS servers, panels and controllers
Engaging with IT for maintenance/troubleshooting on server related issues
Complying with site safety policies and strive to maintain an accident-free environment
To be considered for this opportunity you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technological field and 2-3+ years of relevant work experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements. Experience in use of Siemens Desigo (CC or Insight) BAS or other similar systems.
