It is their mission to ensure that residents feel valued and loved.The CNM will;Ensure that the provision of a high standard of care to the resident and families in Name of Unit is consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the Nursing HomeEnsure recognition of the resident as an individual; ensuring residents’ rights, needs and comfort are given priority during the provision of careDevelop relationships with residents, which facilitates resident autonomy, informed choice and evidence-based decision-makingPromote and maintain resident safety and provide quality care through respecting the privacy, dignity, and rights of the residentMaximise the residents’ capacity to exercise personal autonomy and choiceAssist residents to maintain their sense of identity and include them in decision making whenever possiblePlan, assess and deliver resident care that maximises the resident’s capacity to exercise personal autonomy and choice, together with all members of the Multidisciplinary Care TeamRequirementsEssential:Live NMBI RegistrationMinimum of 2 year post graduate experience with experience of working at a Senior Staff Nurse / Acting CNM levelDesirable:Post Graduate Diploma in GerontologyManagement qualificationsGerontology experienceExperience in Psycho Geriatric Nursing Care/Psychiatry/Adult DisabledHave an in-depth knowledge of the ageing processBenefitsExcellent pay ratesEmployee Assistance ProgrammeReferral ProgrammeCareer Progression opportunitiesFree ongoing training and developmentFree on site parking
