The Delivery Manager in the Strategic Remediation team will support the execution of multiple Business Initiatives related to cyber security, compliance and other protection efforts in alignment with the strategic vision of the business. You will have the opportunity to work within a dedicated team built with the passion for strengthening the company's security and compliance posture, to build relationships and influence for change to successfully deliver on commitments. You will be highly comfortable leading and working with diverse Business and Technology teams in a dynamic, complex and agile environment.
You will be a champion for best practices in cyber tooling, as well as an ambassador for your programme throughout Aer Lingus Technology and Business organisation. You will be up-to-date in the technologies, cyber trends and compliance / regulations associated with the portfolio, and passionate in ensuring that your teams are motivated and directed to enable the delivery of the roadmap. You will have demonstrated an ability to drive complex, cross-organisational initiatives through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders who at times may hold competing priorities.

The success of this role will include:

1. An ability to draft clear and compelling value statements for proposed tooling or technical control implementation
2. Strong prioritisation and backlog refinement capabilities
3. Experience in drafting Statements of Work for implementation teams
4. Experience in supporting change management processes, including business and technical impact assessments

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification with a strong technical focus
  • Possess at least 4+ years of professional experience, with experience as Project Manager, Scrum Master, Delivery or programme management
  • Familiarity with Cyber Security tools, Cyber Security industry and technical trends, and Cyber Security policies
  • Experience facilitating and managing security and compliance audits; industry-specific regulatory compliance knowledge
  • Experience in delivering complex transformation projects
  • A technical background in Delivery is preferred – ideally gained in consulting companies or working with Airlines or other enterprise systems with international, Tier 1 customer organisations
  • Coordinating with legal, contracting, procurement, finance, communications, and business departments to ensure successful delivery rollout, communications and adoption
  • Excellent knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies including Waterfall & Agile
  • Experience in working with third party suppliers in the delivery of Business or IT change initiatives – including experience of working with remote and co-located teams and vendors
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence / Atlassian suite
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite, including Visio, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience of implementing projects with significant budgets, including preparation of business cases
  • A strong understanding of best practises, tools and techniques for delivery in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies with ability to continuously improve these
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally at levels up to Director and C Suite, and ability to make complex technology problem simple to the business
  • Must be capable of understanding and communicating the “big picture”
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders and to influence stakeholders in support of project delivery
  • Robust relationship management, capable of working with all levels within the organisation by building effective relationships
  • An effective Delivery manager with proven ability to influence, motivate and support a high performing team or teams
  • Highly motivated, driven, pragmatic and completely focused on project delivery for business benefit
  • Strong listening, analytical, problem solving and, with close attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate conflict resolution skills – driving resolution of any project conflict
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU
  • Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
  • Provide 3 verifiable references
  • Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year back ground check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in 

Key responsibilities & duties include:  

Working directly to the Cyber Portfolio Manager, the Delivery Manager will meet the following responsibilities:

Delivery Excellence

  • Support the delivery organisation and Business in ensuring delivery best practice is applied to all cyber security deliverables
  • Ensure detailed analysis is completed on time and fits the client and Business needs
  • Own change delivery tasks and manage all aspects of a change delivery cycle
  • Provide enhanced visibility of delivery performance and contribute to data-driven decision making
  • Ensure delivery systems of record are kept up to date (e.g. Jira and Confluence)
  • Participate in wider delivery ceremonies to ensure cyber portfolio remains aligned and prioritised Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including delivery leadership teams, Cyber Security Office, Group IT, Corporate Functions and Aer Lingus Business Planning representatives
  • Partner with product management, product owners, and program partners to define scope, objectives and metrics for success for new and existing Cyber tooling and controls
  • Act as an escalation point where necessary and resolving issues to the mutual satisfaction of our customers and the Technology Group

Governance, Communication

  • Establish and implement strong governance across all projects, in tandem with the cyber portfolio lead and BISO
  • Ensure best practice around risk management, reporting (internal, external) and communication
  • Manage internal communication, ensuring all internal stakeholders are informed, consulted as appropriate on items of relevance through the delivery lifecycle 

Desirable skills:

  • Agile Delivery qualifications
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence / Atlassian suite
  • Experience in cyber security assessments, accreditations, forensics, and incident response
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks and methodologies (e.g. NIST, ISO) and other information security related best practice appropriate to your role
  • ITIL v3, Security+, certified Ethical Hacker or other Security certifications a plus
