Define the electronics architecture of the product 

• Define Discipline Structure of product and its components in line with eBB (electronic building block) strategy

• Ensure an optimized design to cost approach 

• Check for relevant patents, and raise IDMs where possible

• Identify and support management of technical risks of the Discipline architectures in projects 

• Propose constant improvement in relation with platform

Secure the product robustness, apply standards

• Enforce standard Discipline solutions in line with eBB strategy

• Support Discipline & technical design reviews

• Capitalization of the know-how (Standardisation, Specifications, technical reports, processes and guidelines)

Support Discipline requirement Management

• Provide inputs and requirements to the Discipline for the development

• Review customer requirements to ensure Discipline architectures and roadmap is aligned across customers where feasible

• Provide Technical Leadership and decision making to the Electronics Development Team for / during

  • Reviews of Internal requirements, Customer Requirements, Specifications etc.

  • Selecting appropriate design solutions and electronics platforms

  • Product design reviews and problem resolution

• Participate in Formal product Design Reviews and Schematic/PCB Reviews 

• Support development and maintenance of the Electronics Development process.

• Sponsor Innovation and Creativity in the development of all products 

• Keep up to date with new Standards and general market information in the Industry

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum of 8 years experience working in an electronics development environment.

• Excellent electronics design technical knowledge

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to bring an electronics design from concept to volume manufacturing

• Excellent knowledge of the electronics development process

• Experience in the automotive industry

• Mindset of continuous improvement
