Healthcare Tutor

Elevation Training Ireland are providers of specialist
training in the area of Healthcare, with particular expertise in
supporting learners returning to education.
In 2010, Elevation
Training Ireland became a QQI accredited centre and since then have
certified over 6000 learners in healthcare awards at Level 5.
Elevation Training Ireland are also members of the Learning &
Development Institute (L&DI) which allows them to keep up to date with
best practice in education.
What you’ll do
Elevation Training has an immediate opening for a (part time/full
time) tutor, based in Santry, Co. Dublin. The tutor will work with
their students to help them understand the foundations of caring,
develop their practical caring skills and become competent in the work
of a healthcare support worker. Our learner cohort and our programmes
require tutors who are adept at managing different learning styles
while supporting and encouraging each individual to reach their own
potential.

administrators, management and quality professionals who are dedicated
to providing a comprehensive and high quality education to our
learners.
Together, the team will collaborate to maintain
relevance within the programme content, assess student progress, and
ensure that students are supported and well-prepared to enter the
workforce as competent and compassionate healthcare professionals.

Duties:
- Travelling to our training venues to deliver company training in line with current training plans.
- Assist with the scheduling, delivery, assessment, content and administration of all training.
- Deliver QQI training in line with current validation guidelines.
- Implement and review QQI Policies and Procedures e.g. ensuring the secure storage of portfolios, disseminating information on proper procedure for appeals, confidentiality of records etc
- Keep up to date with any information relevant to providers on the QQI website.
- Liaise with and assist Internal Verifiers and Tutors, to ensure that any new tutor is made aware of the Quality Assurance procedures and to ensure that all necessary documentation is made available to them.
- Submit all necessary work in line with QQI QA procedures to the timeframe as laid out by the Training and Learning Coordinator.
- Assist staff and Learners regarding any QQI queries.
- Assist with administration tasks relating to training courses.
- Provision of constructive feedback to learners.
Who are we looking for? Successful applicants will:
- Have a minimum of QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer or QQI Level 6 Training & Development Special Purpose Award and QQI Level 6 Manual Handling & Patient Moving Handling Instruction is essential
- Have a relevant health/social care/ nursing or other ancillary services background and must have care of the elderly experience.
- Be drivers with their own transport
- Qualified as a First Aid Instructor would be beneficial
- Be comfortable in an IT rich environment.
- Be pro-active individuals with strong communication, negotiation, creativity, problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
