Production Buyer

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Production Buyer to manage the day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure a cost-effective & lean supply of goods for our next-generation battery systems.

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Support the development of a procurement strategy and complete procurement objectives.
  • Supply supplier forecasts
  • Day-to-day management of PO creation & on time deliveries for production goods
  • Negotiate cost per unit, MOQs, lead times and special case.
  • Invoice query resolution
  • Inventory management
  • PPV, Annual materials budget, and finance reconciliation
  • AVL review
  • Participate in Supplier Segmentation activities.
  • Distribute supplier RFQ’s.
  • Initiate cost saving opportunities.
  • Supplier performance metrics and monitoring.
  • Participate in supplier QBR’s.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Supplier issue resolution.
  • Maintaining master data in our financial and MRP system

To excel you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, working in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent team worker with the ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills coupled with effective communication skills.
  • Able to handle multiple demands and prioritise tasks according to operational needs.
  • Good IT skills with the ability to comfortably work with the MS Office suite as well as Materials Resources Planning software.
  • Able to work with ambiguity.
