Production Engineer

Based in Bray, Ireland and operating in the HVAC Industry, Safegard specialise in the niche area of smoke and fire control / containment within the ducted ventilation systems of buildings. We offer Addressable, Intelligent Smoke Fire Damper Control Panels plus the full complement of dampers which include smoke/fire, fire, volume control, high operating temperature, smoke extract etc.

Position Summary / Purpose

A hands-on control panel building roll within the Production Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Electrical Control Panel assembly completed to highest standards.
• Full electrical and functional testing of all panels.
• Wiring and terminations as per schematics and panel drawings.
• Quality control of all panels manufactured.
• Assisting in regular stock takes for production components.
• Working as part of a team and on own initiative.

Essential; 

• Electrical trade or qualification / experience  
• Full Driving Licence
• Excellent Computer literacy

Desirable; 

• Safepass course
• Manual Handling

Experience

Essential; 

• Knowledge of electrical components and their functionality
• Experience in Control Panel production environment
• Good understanding of relay logic
• Ability to read and work to panel schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Motivated and able to manage multiple projects to a deadline

Desirable; 

• VSD/AHU/PLC Air Flow systems
• CNC Machine experience
