The Role & What You Will Be Doing

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the QC Microsterility Analyst  role will make an impact:

• Finished Product Testing of Sterility test method and Endotoxin by Gel Clot test method for a range of biological pharmaceutical products (used for treatment of cancer, diabetes and ocular disease).

• Participate in Analytical Method Transfer/Validation to the Sterility laboratory from global transferring laboratories.

• Ensure that all microbiology/sterility laboratory operations are carried out in compliance with EHS, cGMP and regulatory commitments.

• Protocol and report generation and review for method transfer / validation studies.

• Troubleshooting complex problems and presenting findings to various stakeholders.

• Partake in cross functional training through creation of training material and providing training to other team members.

• Perform laboratory investigations to determine root cause and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventative action (Trackwise).

• Review of analytical data to a high-quality standard.

• Ensure that all laboratory operations are carried out in compliance with EHS, cGMP and regulatory commitments.

• Participate in risk assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations, etc. and implement and follow-up on corrective / preventative measures.

• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs, specifications, and cGMP regulations.

• Demonstrate a proactive approach towards Continuous Improvement.

• Vendor liaison for consumable management

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

• BSc in Science or equivalent qualification

• 1-3 years relevant experience working with a variety of aseptic and Microbiological techniques in a GMP laboratory within the biological and/or pharmaceutical industry.

• Knowledge and experience in some or all the following is an advantage; Sterility Testing (including use of an isolator), Environmental Monitoring and Media Growth Promotion.

• Demonstrated knowledge and testing experience in an FDA/HPRA approved QC laboratory.

• Good working knowledge of QC Systems (LIMS and Trackwise) is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills and strong teamwork credentials

• Work with minimal supervision; able to perform under pressure to competing demands and stakeholders.
