What you will do

We at Johnson Controls are excited to bring to market, a rare opportunity to lead the next stage development, of a recently acquired entity, within our Fire Suppression portfolio of brands! We are taking a proactive and well-considered approach to succession planning, important to maintain customer relationship continuity, develop the co-branded offering across a wider geography in Eire. The successful candidate will become our Senior JCI representative both locally at Provincial legacy business and Ireland as a region.

We seek an experienced Commercial Leader to lead our Fire Suppression business based in the ROI. The Sales Director will have full sales and sales execution responsibility for the business.

The main aspects of this role focus on crafting an alignment between ROI growth strategy and the overall enterprise growth strategy, working closely with our teams in Ireland to then execute and iteratively develop our plans for the region.

In addition to this, the candidate should have strong change management skills, be highly numerate, must demonstrate excellent levels of day-to-day dexterity in which they currently operate or have operated, be highly resilient and self-sufficient whilst also demonstrating a consistent track record in profitable growth and be very results oriented. Reporting directly to the UK&I Sales Director Fire Suppression UKI, the candidate is responsible for leading our Fire Suppression business in Ireland and taking our Suppression products and solutions to market, by growing segment share in our traditional segments whilst driving our business development strategy within our new growth segments.

How you will do it

You will grow the Ireland Fire Suppression business by working with the UK&I Sales Director to establish and execute an overall Fire Suppression Sales Strategy, by building a climate of sales excellence, characterised by a highly professional sales force, capable to build a high-quality sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and working together on cross selling opportunities. Focuses on customer relationships to strive for excellence as they move through the customer journey. Growth and retention are key.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibility for sales management, with a proven track growth in business growth & development within ROI
  • Excellent contracting and / or construction sector related knowledge, experience, and industry networks. Competitor experience desirable.
  • Understanding of regulatory maintenance
  • Demonstrates intuition for business
  • Good financial acumen and understand how to positively impact the P&L through commercial activities
  • Experience in working successfully for a multinational and/or matrix organisation
