Full Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with a wealth of experience, a minimum of 10 years, to take on a pivotal role as a Senior Engineer in our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading project teams on small to medium-scale projects, ensuring efficient resource management within established timeframes and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the engineering team, managing staff resources effectively.
Directly engage with Clients, Uisce Eireann, Local authorities, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with the architectural team and report directly to company Directors.
Oversee the detailed design drawing preparation for the engineering team.
Undertake the role of assigned certifier, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Conduct site inspections, attend site meetings, and actively participate in project bidding and tendering processes.
Experience:
Proficient in managing and coordinating engineering team members.
Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, both internally and externally.
Expertise in designing multi-storey buildings using various materials (steel, masonry, reinforced concrete, timber frame).
Competency in relevant software, including TEDDS, Masterseries, PDS, Microdrainage/Flow, AutoCAD, and REVIT.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, sequencing of work, temporary works, Irish Building Regulations, and compliance with BCAR.
Mentorship capabilities to guide and develop junior staff members.
Knowledge and experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment.
Flexible, enthusiastic, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
