Senior Retail Deli Manager Job Carlow

Teamworx is hiring for one of Ireland’s top flagship retail stores nationwide. Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Deli Manager for their flagship retail store in Carlow, Ireland, operated by a large retail group with stores across the southeast. This role involves managing a substantial food operation with nearly 20 staff members. Candidates with experience in supermarket or shop management, along with strong leadership and organisational skills, are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will oversee stock, manage budgets, drive sales, and motivate the team. The retail group is known for its ambition, expansion, and investment in its management teams, consistently winning retail awards. The role is based on a 5/6 format with occasional Sundays.

The ideal candidate for this Deli Manager Job:  

Proven management experience, organising and supervising the work of others. Fresh food knowledge.Excellent customer service.Strong organisational skills.Be able to work both in a team and use your own initiative.A strong understanding of food safety and HACCP knowledge.

Responsibilities for this Retail Deli Manager Job:

Oversee the running of the fresh food department with up to 15+ staff in your department Rostering, planning, making lunch schedules, and ensuring deadlines are met Responsible for a highly skilled team, planning out their workload, directing work, and ensuring tasks are completed correctly. Inventory and stock management, keeping back stock to appropriate levels, Working closely with the General Manager and stakeholders in the group to get the best performance out of the department, increasing sales, productivity, margins, waste management, and controlling shrink. Taking full responsibility for proper management of hygiene and HACCP records and all other relatable paperwork for the department Maintaining high standards across the business, Performance management of your team, ensuring your team is reaching maximum efficiency in their work, training, and coaching staff, play an active role in recruitment and onboarding people to your department.
