Teamworx is recruiting for an experienced Supermarket Duty Manager to join our client which is a highly reputable award-winning supermarket group located across Leinster. Now employing over 1000 staff within their six supermarkets and other businesses, they are now looking to hire a leader for the organisation in a prominent store. They have a great reputation for promoting within and developing senior leaders from Trainee Manager levels upwards. In this job as a Retail Grocery Duty Manager, you will be part of a large team and will work in hand with senior management, learning the procedures, and standards in merchandising expected and how to achieve commercial goals whilst demonstrating strong leadership among colleagues. This is done through on-the-job training and coaching from senior leaders including experienced HR professionals.

The store is a vibrant, busy store that operates with high standards and is considered a best practice store for others to follow and adopt their style and standards. Our client is looking for a proven retail Supervisor or Manager who is a high performer in a smaller retail environment and enthusiastic about managing and reaching commercial targets. 

Our client is offering a competitive salary from €32,000 up to €38,000 DOE

Responsibilities for this Retail Supermarket Duty Manager Job:

• You will work closely with the senior management, to learn the process of placing orders using their back office and ordering systems.
  
• Provide inspirational leadership to a diverse team. Responsible for recruiting, training, and developing team members.
  
• Understanding and implementing food safety and sanitation guidelines is essential.
  
• You will learn about proper handling, storage, and temperature control of fresh food and grocery retail items to ensure they are safe for consumption.
  
• Will be given exposure to people management, leading and evaluating people's work mainly within the grocery and retail departments, providing training and direction to complete tasks.
  
• Collaboration and effective communication are essential to coordinate tasks, address challenges, and maintain a smooth operation.
  
• You will provide support in various operational aspects, such as scheduling, staffing, and managing work shifts.
  

The ideal candidate for this Retail Supermarket Duty Manager Job :

• Have strong attention to detail
  
• People management skills
  
• Grocery or fresh food knowledge with some ordering experience, ideally within Retail, Supermarkets, Catering, or Cafe environments would be essential for this job.

• Be able to work within a team and on your own initiative.
