HEAnet – Talent Acquisition Partner (Maternity Cover)

HEAnet is Ireland’s National Research and Education Network, providing internet connectivity and ICT shared services across all levels of the Irish education system, reaching in excess of 1,000,000 end users. We connect learners and researchers across all of Ireland to education resources and to fellow national educational and research networks in Europe, and the rest of the world.  


We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to join our People Operations team for a maternity cover contract .

This role is based in our office in Dublin 1; however, we have a hybrid work framework in place which will allow you to do some work from home if you choose to do so.


What the People Operations Team does 


The People Operations Team provides people-centric support for the full employee lifecycle across two companies - HEAnet and EduCampus Services.  The function’s responsibilities center around Employee Experience & Workplace Experience, Learning & Development, Business Support, Performance Management, Talent Attraction & Retention, HR Operations and People Projects.

What the Talent Acquisition Partner does


Reporting directly to the  People Operations Director, the Talent Acquisition Partner will work closely with the People Operations team and hiring managers across HEAnet & EduCampus, to fill a variety of technology and business support roles. 


The role will be responsible for partnering with the business to define role requirements, understanding hiring priorities and leading all end-to-end talent acquisition activity across the business.  This will include ensuring a high-quality experience for candidates and all stakeholders involved in the process, sourcing through the use of direct hiring tools and liaising with our external partners, pre-screening and representing the People Operations function at interviews, progressing offers to close-out and working on people-projects as they arise.

What we need from you


  • Significant end-to-end talent attraction & acquisition experience, either in agency or in-house
  • Experience in interpreting business requirements and building recruitment strategy, policy and process aligned with the business’ objectives
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor to Hiring Managers at all levels across the business in the resourcing of their teams and projects
  • An eye for continuous improvement and to developing and building upon established recruitment processes and the business’ employer brand
  • Willingness to support, coordinate, administer and report on talent attraction & acquisition events and activities
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a team, with a friendly and collaborative approach
  • Desire to increase and share knowledge


Bonus points

We do not need you to have the following, but if you did it could be beneficial:


  • Experience in the ICT or Higher Education sector
  • Experience in designing technical recruitment plans
  • Wider HR experience
  • CIPD Certification
