Full Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced legal
professional to fill the role of VP Legal based in
Shannon . This role presents a unique opportunity to
contribute to their success by providing legal and transactional
support within the dynamic field of aviation leasing.
They currently have a requirement for a Qualified Solicitor
ideally with 5+ years PQE.
What you'll be doing:
- Create and review cross-border engine lease, acquisition, sale, and related transaction documents, including SLB transactions and short-term leases.
- Offer legal support to a global sales and transaction team, with a primary focus on the EMEA region.
- Provide in-house legal advice, guidance, and support for the execution and administration of transactions.
- Identify and resolve legal risks and issues, encompassing default management, lease restructurings, repossessions, and associated litigation and bankruptcy matters.
- Assist in developing and maintaining departmental policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with parent company rules.
- Collaborate with the General Counsel across departmental needs and objectives.
What you'll need:
- Possess a Bachelor’s LLB degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Qualified to practice law in relevant jurisdictions (USA, England, and/or Ireland).
- Minimum of 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the Aviation Leasing Industry or within a Law Firm dealing with aviation leasing.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and legal skills, coupled with extensive commercial acumen.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work energetically within cross-functional international teams, demonstrating initiative in a busy environment.
- Proven drafting and negotiation skills & experience.
- Knowledge of the aviation industry and commercial risk.
- Attention to detail and a keen awareness of risk.
