Job Title: Welder
Location: Kells, Co. Meath
Our client is a manufacturing company with 30 years in offsite fabrication, establishing themselves as a leading force in delivering top-tier fabrication solutions to clients across diverse industries.
Our clients boasts a state-of-the-art fabrication facility equipped with the latest machinery and staffed by a team of skilled engineers, BIM technicians, fitters, welders & fabricators. This facility fabricates packaged and modular plant rooms, mechanical services pipe, bracketry, pump skids, etc.
This role will suit someone with a good track record in the industry who is keen to learn and grow in an exciting new business environment.

The Role:
The ideal candidate will have the necessary qualifications, and certification. Be competent with reading and interpreting drawings and have experience as a fitter/welder.
TIG and Mig welding including stainless pipe work. Pipe fitter with some experience in PVC Plastic pipework would be an advantage. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working in a workshop environment also and possess good all-round skills in the areas of fitting (gearboxes, flow meters, pumps etc.) and basic milling and turning.
- Current Safe pass, manual handling cert and abrasive wheels certs.
- Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products
- Ensure all required materials and tools are at your work station at the start of each day
- Accurately complete job by time specified in the plan
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Must work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any one time, embracing the ethos of one team culture.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies and procedures are always adhered.
- The candidate must review the design stage mechanical drawings and P&ID in order to validate designs, familiarise with project and spot issues before they arise.
- Provide input and feedback on design in order to contribute to DfMA efficiencies.
- Work well on their own initiative.
- Complete system testing in the form of pipework pressure tests on completion of build or repair.
- Complete all test documentation and inspection and test plans (ITPs) as required.
Experience & Skills:
- MIG and TIG welding qualifications required
- Ability to read schematics and BIM drawings.
- Ability to work as part of a team with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to weld mild steel and stainless steel.
- Ability to weld structural steel components using MIG process.
- Ability to manage time when given a work list, including continuous feedback to Production manager.
- Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise.
Location:
The role will be based mainly on site in our mechanical pipework and fabrication facility in Kells, Co. Meath.
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed
term
Contract length: 6 months with opportunity for full time contract.
Salary: Industry standard rates.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 39 hour week.
