Role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure-based database solutions using services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Cache for Redis, and Azure Data Factory.
- Optimize database performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position: Essential: Strong practical experience in Oracle ERP implementation programmes working with Oracle Cloud Financials or Supply Chain/Procure-to-Pay modules Proven track record in working in at least one of the workstreams within Oracle Transformation Programme including Data Migration, Testing and Project Management Functional expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials modules or Procure-to-Pay modules (Purchasing, Supplier Management, Invoicing, Payments) and a good understanding of Finance / Procurement processes Client facing experience in a Consulting environment with a demonstrated ability to appropriately engage with stakeholders at all levels and build strong relationships A proven ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and process design Practical understanding of at least one delivery methodologies (e.g. Activate, Waterfall, Agile, etc). Ability to travel when required Desirable: Practical experience and understanding of at least a few phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC) Oracle Certification in Finance or Supply Chain core products Data Migration skills that include awareness of how data flows between modules, understanding the intricacies of the underlying database, data cleansing, extract transform load (ETL), validation, testing and reconciliation Testing and Test Management skills that include knowledge of understanding the processes and data flows to design effective test cases and scenarios. Understanding and practical experience of testing methodologies & techniques, supporting management of testing cycles with associated reporting. Practical experience of different testing types, test cycles, and test management tools Programme Management skills that include an understanding and practical experience of methodologies like PRINCE2, Agile, or Waterfall, planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder management. What type of work will I be doing? Assisting in gathering and analysing business requirements and documenting functional specifications Supporting the design and configuration of Oracle Cloud Financials and/or Procure-to-Pay modules to meet client needs Helping create process documentation, including workflows and configuration guides Participating in project activities from discovery through to deployment and post-implementation support Collaborating with technical teams on integration, data migration, and testing tasks Supporting client workshops, training sessions, and user acceptance testing Helping resolve functional issues and contribute to continuous improvement Helping to grow and develop the Assisting with pre-sales activities such as preparing RFP responses and solution demonstrations Who is the Hiring Manager? Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP Commerce Cloud Release Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end release lifecycle for a large-scale SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) platform. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and supporting all deployments and enhancements across multiple environments, ensuring stability, quality, and seamless go-live delivery. You will work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure releases are well-controlled, fully tested, and successfully deployed. Key Responsibilities Own the full SAP Commerce Cloud release lifecycle from planning to post-go-live support Develop and maintain detailed release plans, including timelines, resources, and risk management Coordinate across development, testing, and business teams to ensure readiness for release Manage change, deployment, and version control processes across environments Oversee production go-lives, including cutover, communication, and rollback planning Monitor system performance post-release and coordinate issue resolution Ensure all release activities are properly documented and governed Continuously improve release processes, standards, and automation opportunities Maintain awareness of SAP Commerce Cloud best practices and platform updates Key Requirements 68+ years experience in release management or similar technical delivery roles Strong hands-on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) Solid understanding of release management methodologies and SDLC Experience working in Agile / fast-paced delivery environments Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to manage multiple parallel releases and priorities Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills Nice to Have Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with cloud-based deployments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git) and change management tools Understanding of SAP Commerce Cloud architecture and configuration Location & Working Pattern Dublin-based role Hybrid working model 2 days onsite per week Some flexibility required around release schedules and go-live events Whats on Offer Opportunity to work on a large-scale SAP Commerce Cloud platform Exposure to complex enterprise release environments Strong collaboration with technical and business teams High-impact role within a digital commerce organisation Skills: Cloud release manager sap
