Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hard working Purchasing Administrator to join our growing team at SAM NI. The successful candidate will be responsible for the conversion of purchase requisitions, booking incoming & outgoing transport, monitoring supplier orderbooks, customs import declarations & resolving invoice queries. This is a permanent, full-time role. Responsibilities & Duties: . Ensure that all purchase requisitions are approved and converted in a timely manner. Approve invoices for payment/resolve invoice queries Build & maintain relationships with current and new suppliers. Ensure supplier orderbooks are up to date and monitor due dates on open orders Generate stock reports through the ERP system and action against reorder points. Onboard new suppliers to the ERP system Assist finance with AP automation system Book incoming & outgoing transport. Complete customs import declarations Negotiate competitive terms with suppliers i.e pricing, payment and delivery terms The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience within a busy manufacturing environment Previous experience within a procurement function is desirable Previous experience using ERP/MRP systems Strong inter-personable skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders Highly organised with excellent time management skills Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially excel Ability to work well under pressure The above list is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and duties. From time to time the employee may be required to transfer to other departments to help with demand.
