**Job Description**
At AECOM we have a number of exciting opportunities across the UK & Ireland for graduates to work within our Transport Planning Team. Our team covers all areas of transport planning, from pedestrian and highway modelling, to public transport and spatial planning. As an integrated team, we provide design and planning advice from inception through to detailed design, often working alongside engineers, architects and master planners in multi-disciplinary teams.
We are looking for an ambitious team player who wishes to assist in developing and communicating innovative and effective approaches to the analysis of public expenditure in a collaborative environment. The role would suit a self-motivated individual looking to begin their career in a dynamic team and it better understand how economic theory can be used to help solve real-world, practical, challenges.
We will, of course, provide you with all the training and support you need to progress your career and develop professionally. You will be working within a positive culture where learning and development is not only supported, but also actively promoted.
Early work with us will typically be supporting senior staff with technical input into a variety of projects. Key responsibilities will include:
+ Assisting in data collection and analysis
+ Reviewing and building economic models
+ Reviewing and drafting infrastructure proposal documents and associated business cases

**Qualifications**
+ A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths, or an MSc in Transport Planning with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or above
+ A Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths, or Transport Planning would be an advantage
+ Transport Planning modules or experience would be an advantage
+ Ability to demonstrate a good technical understanding of Transport Planning
+ Demonstrable interest in Transport Planning and developing a career in this industry

Our growing UK&I Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team is looking for a Principal Environmental Permitting Consultant in Ireland to support the delivery of the EHS compliance and permitting business across our existing client base and new clients. The role is to participate with our team in the delivery of a broad range of EHS compliance and permitting services across many sectors including, but not limited to, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals/Biopharmaceuticals, Water, Alternative Fuels, Hi Tech, Commercial and Energy.
This role would suit a consultant with proven industry experience in environmental compliance and permitting. Experience in Industrial Emissions / Integrated Pollution Control licensing in the **Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical** sector is important. Some health and safety experience and knowledge of ISO 14001 standards would also be beneficial.
You will play a key role in supporting the growth and continued success of the Environmental compliance and permitting business in the UK and Ireland. Based within a specialist team but working as part of the wider AECOM business you would provide environmental compliance and permitting support across all industry sectors, through a combination of global framework agreements and site-specific commissions. You would support AECOM's clients from established process industries, manufacturing and power generation companies with the management of compliance requirements for current and planned activities. + Advising clients on the implications for their business of legislation, environmental regulatory guidance and Best Available Techniques (BAT) to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, best practice and BAT standards. This could include undertaking licence compliance studies, liability risk assessments and BAT studies.
+ Assist clients in developing and implementing mitigation measures, management plans, and management systems. Managing and completing EHS audits including legal and operational compliance.
+ Support the preparation and submission of environmental permit/licence applications particularly in the Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical sector.
+ Help ensure ongoing compliance with permit/licence conditions and knowledge of ISO 14001 standards
**Regulator and Stakeholder Engagement**
+ Facilitate engagement with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.

You will support project teams in to deliver a range of ESG, climate change and sustainability projects across a range of sectors for an array of different clients from multi-national firms to infrastructure providers. You will also support the senior leaders in the Carbon and ESG (C&ESG) Practice and in AECOM's wider Environment & Sustainability Business Unit to grow this service area, particularly in Ireland.

We produce robust carbon footprints as well as reduction plans and routemaps for enterprises, projects and products as well as supporting climate change risk assessment and resilience and adaptation planning for infrastructure assets, businesses, cities, and urban master plans.
We also help clients with net zero planning, risk assessment, strategy development, project preparation, capacity-building, and reporting to support their ESG programmes. The Payroll Delivery Consultant will manage and execute all aspects of the pre-payroll and payroll process, ensuring both accuracy and timely payment to our associates. WSP's Land team in Ireland is seeking talented Land Consultants, at various levels, to join our Naas based team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our Land Team in the delivery of land referencing, landowner engagement, consultation management, land access, formal consents, statutory orders, compensation agreements and land acquisition in support of strategic infrastructure development projects across Ireland and the UK.
We support high-profile infrastructure projects across the Energy, Water, Road, Rail and Local Authority sectors such as the North South Interconnector, NM20, Dublin Metrolink, M17 and A5, as well as HS2. Many of our Energy projects are critical for the deployment of renewable energy, helping the Ireland economy to achieve net zero carbon emissions.
We are the largest Land Referencing business in the UK and Ireland, with over 250 Land colleagues. As part of the WSP Land Team you will enjoy the support of multi-disciplinary colleagues in our Naas, Belfast and wider GB offices
**Associate Land Consultant role.**
+ Lead a team of technical specialists to ensure successful delivery of projects on time, within budget and to high standards
+ Be a trusted advisor to clients (externally and internally) and manage relationships
+ Advise on Land issues within Ireland and UK, including the relevant statutory processes to acquire land including CPO, Motorway Order, Vesting Order, etc
+ Secure land rights for high profile, strategic infrastructure projects across Ireland and the UK
+ Liaise with landowners, auctioneers, land agents, legal representatives, planning authorities, key stakeholders, contractors and clients
+ Work closely with the Land team and collaborate with engineering, environmental, and planning teams
+ Lead on quality assurance of deliverables in relation to the identification of land interests and rights, negotiation of access to land for surveys, consents and acquisition of land rights for large scale development projects, as well as land acquisition and planning applications.
+ Promote Land services and contribute to business development across the electricity, highway, rail, water, telecoms, gas and renewable energy sectors
+ Support the sharing of knowledge and lessons across regions and projects
+ Develop efficient working practices and promote innovation in the team to provide industry leading, best value services to our clients
+ Ensure that the team has the necessary skills and resources to deliver successful projects and grow the business
+ Manage, motivate, mentor and develop staff and contribute to the delivery of the business strategy
+ Support the writing of bids/tenders to secure opportunities from internal and external clients
+ Lead delivery of training on technical topics
+ Ireland and UK travel
**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
+ Expertise in rural environment, property, communities and agricultural working practices
+ Experience working on infrastructure development schemes with multi-disciplinary teams across a range of sectors and locations
+ Experience of negotiating commercial terms with landowners and knowledge of the legal process for the acquisition of wayleaves and easement
+ Demonstrable experience of reducing land risk for clients and advising them on land related matters throughout all stages of a project lifecycles.
+ Proven track record of the development of Orders and/or acquisition of consents and interests in land, and knowledge of relevant legislation
+ Ability to communicate effectively with strong influencing and negotiating skills
+ Motivated and able to work in a team and on own initiative, being able to work under pressure and deliver high quality outputs
+ Strong landowner and public engagement skills
+ Good business and IT skills
+ Excellent adherence to quality assurance and good document management skills
+ A degree in Geography, Agriculture, Land and Estate Management or similar
+ Chartership or membership or a Professional body would be advantageous.
+ A full drivers' licence is essential
**Senior Land Consultant role.**
+ Utilising statutory powers and other available mechanisms to acquire land including CPO, Motorway Order, Vesting Order etc on behalf of clients within the electricity, highways, rail, water, telecoms, gas or renewable energy sectors
+ Preparation and quality assurance of technical documents in relation to the identification of land interests and rights, negotiation of access to land for surveys, consents and acquisition of land rights
+ Negotiation of Heads of Terms to secure land for projects.
+ Liaising with landowners, land agents, auctioneers, legal representatives, planning authorities, key stakeholders, contractors and clients
+ Work closely with Land team colleagues and collaborate with engineering, environmental, and planning team
+ Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams across a range of sectors and locations across Ireland and/or UK
+ Develop efficient working practices and promote innovation in the team to provide industry leading, best value services to our clients
+ Management and development of a team of early career professionals providing both technical training and career development support
+ Contribute to business development and the delivery of the business strategy
+ Ireland and UK travel
**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
Degree or equivalent experience in Geography, Land and Estate Management, Agriculture or a relevant discipline
+ Worked to deliver land referencing, land access, landowner engagement services and statutory processes on major infrastructure projects
+ Experience of negotiating with landowners and knowledge of the legal process for the acquisition of wayleaves/easements/servitudes desirable
+ Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams across a range of sectors and locations across Ireland and/or UK
+ Demonstrable experience of reducing land risk for clients and advising them on land related matters throughout all stages of a project lifecycles.
+ Proven track record of the development of Orders and/or acquisition of consents and interests in land, and knowledge of relevant legislation

**Assistant Land Consultant role.**
+ Undertake land referencing activities, including Ireland land registry searches on Tailte Éireann, desktop research, questionnaire analysis and archival investigations to identify legal land interests and rights in land
+ Accurate data entry and management of land and landowner information and consultation records in databases and GIS
+ Site visits to landowners to confirm ownership details, agree access for surveys
+ Support Land Team in securing and acquiring appropriate land rights as well as negotiation of Heads of Terms
+ Support Land Team in preparation of Orders and relevant statutory processes to acquire land
+ Attend and contribute to internal and external project meetings
**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
+ A degree in geography or another relevant discipline, which has provided you with an understanding of the complexities of land-use and/or landownership in Ireland/UK.
+ Experience of working with databases and managing information with excellent attention to detail
+ Experience of working with mapping and knowledge of GIS
+ Experience of landowner engagement or working with members of the public.
+ Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, landowners and client at all levels.
+ Ability to communicate effectively
+ Knowledge of the rural environment and farming practices would be desirable
+ A full drivers' licence is essential.
