This role requires a professional Used Car Buyer with experience to acquire premium used vehicles of suitable specification and quality at the lowest possible prices, managing the stock of vehicles in a way that ensures they are quickly passed on to recipient dealerships within the group.

All base locations in the UK will be considered for this opportunity, however given the nature of the role, significant travel should be expected including visits to our Head Office which is based in Dublin, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities will include:Purchasing premium used vehicles through trade sources, private purchase, or other dealerships at the least possible costs to the business.
Assisting Sales Managers in ensuring that optimum used stocking levels are maintained to maximise used car sales opportunities.
Assisting the management teams at each site in maximising the sale and profitability of used vehicles.
Acquire used car stock and manage the auction process for used vehicles ensuring to achieve or exceed targeted profits or returns on investment.
Ensure that used cars are purchased at the correct market value reflecting their age and required preparation costs to comply with brand used car policy.
Ensure the highest standard of courtesy and integrity when interacting with customers and members of the public. Establishing strong relationships with customers built on trust, ensuring at all times simple and transparent interactions.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of the retail motor industry, with the ability to accurately appraise vehicles.
A customer centric approach, always striving to deliver service above customer expectations.
A ‘can do’ attitude with a ‘winning’ mentality and the drive and determination to be the best.
Exceptional customer facing and interpersonal skills.
An excellent negotiator, confident with the ability to effectively communicate persuasively with others, passing on information accurately and promptly.

RequirementsWe are looking for a time served qualified vehicle technician with a formal qualification in Automotive City and Guilds – NVQ Level 2 or 3, in light vehicle maintenance and vehicle diagnostics (or equivalent qualification). Ideally you will also be located within a commutable distance to and from Llandudno Junction, North Wales.
