Permanent Whole Time Post UCC wishes to appoint an experienced facilities manager for Cork University Dental School and Hospital who will be responsible for the implementation of agreed objectives and to ensure optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical electrical and fire/life safety systems. They will lead the ongoing conservation and improvement of the mechanical/electrical systems within the building. They will manage maintenance contracts and prepare detailed preventative maintenance programmes. The post holder will be the key person involved in the management of legionella. The Facilities Engineer will be responsible along with their colleagues in UCC Buildings & Estates Office for the design, tendering and project management of all small projects in the Dental School and Hospital. They will assist Laboratory Leads on the functionality of their respective labs and shall prepare and maintain detailed area specific operational manuals. They will work on their own initiative, have a high level of diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and enthusiastically deliver a prompt, customer focussed service in a team environment. They will be a highly safety conscious, hands-on, competent and innovative person. The Role: As a Dental Receptionist you will have fantastic interpersonal and communication skills and possess awareness and sensitivity towards patient requirements. The ideal candidate will have 1- 2 years plus experience working in a similar role, within a dentalpractice or Hospital fast-paced environment, and is looking for an opportunity to work in a wonderful team environment.
