You furthermore understand what terms may or will impact US GAAP revenue recognition.
+ Interest in legal aspects of information technology, cybersecurity, data protection, technology advancements, and the practical transactional implementation thereof.
+ Excellent negotiating and influencing skills, and a talent for non-confrontational, win-win negotiations.
+ Exceptional critical thinking abilities, who possesses strong business acumen and excellent business judgment; must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and pivot between responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to distill complex issues clearly and concisely communicate well both one-on-one and in groups, and in internal and external contexts.

+ work closely with sales and partner management to coordinate support for key deals, understand requirements and priorities and how to optimise legal support for these, provide training on legal topics to sales teams and manage escalations;
+ coach, support, and develop the legal team involved in SAP Ireland transactions
+ take responsibility for ensuring compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements, including in relation to data privacy, security, competition and consumer law, and corporation/ company law
+ work closely with the SAP Office of Ethics and Compliance in relation to ensuring the SAP Code of Conduct is complied with, on internal audit investigations and as part of the market unit compliance function

+ Proven experience of reviewing, negotiating and advising on tendering contracts and providing legal support on projects, including dispute resolution. Superior contract negotiation and drafting skills is required.
+ Fluency & drafting ability in English is mandatory. Fluency in other European languages will be considered a strong plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Reporting to the VP Chief Counsel Labor & Employment , the **Labor & Employment Counsel** will be a trusted advisor to Veralto's Corporate functions and Operating Companies (OpCos), delivering practical legal solutions and scalable best practices across a diverse and dynamic region.
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Advising on EU, national, and local employment laws including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, restrictive covenants, leaves, accommodations, hiring, contracting, labor relations, and whistleblower protections.
+ Assist operating companies with complex HR-related investigations/audits including overseeing third party investigators, supporting internal Operating Company investigators and sometimes personally conducting such investigations
+ Leading employment-related litigation and adversarial matters, including strategy development, agency responses, and settlement negotiations. 
+ Acting as EMEA legal subject matter expert on cross-functional initiatives, M&A activity, and compliance reviews.
+ Designing and implementing turnkey legal solutions that embed compliance and efficiency across OpCos of varying sizes and complexities.
+ Provide pragmatic L&E legal advice to HR and business leaders on entire range of labor and employment matters and drive sustained compliance through development and implementation of scalable and process-based solutions.
+ Monitor new laws, regulations and decisions affecting the substantive legal areas above and provide strategic advice to company leadership.
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ Legal certification from an accredited law school and eligibility to practice in relevant jurisdictions.
+ 5+ years of experience in labor and employment law, ideally with exposure to Germany, France, and Benelux countries.
+ Proven ability to manage complex investigations and employment disputes.
+ Strong process orientation with a track record of scaling legal solutions across matrixed organizations.
+ Experience working independently across geographies and an established track-record of constructively partnering across functions.
+ Agility and a business-first mindset, with the ability to align legal advice to operational and strategic goals.
+ Business-fluent English; German or French are a plus.

**Job Description**
Global Therapeutic Area (TA) Regulatory Liaisons is a core function within Gilead's Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) organization and acts as a critical strategic partner across drug discovery, development and commercial teams. Global TA Regulatory Liaisons develop regulatory strategic options and work closely with cross-functional leaders and regulatory authorities to determine appropriate pathways to obtain and maintain licensure and optimal formulary listings. You will act as the Franchise Lead for Regulatory Affairs at the Pediatric Center of Excellence. You will provide leadership and mentorship for your direct reports by overseeing and guiding the development and execution of regulatory strategies, plans and objectives for pediatric development of products and compounds across the Virology, Oncology and Inflammation therapeutic areas in alignment with and within the overall global development of a product. This may include overseeing the development of global pediatric regulatory plans and preparation of pediatric regulatory submissions, monitoring the progress and completion of global pediatric commitments, and guiding and advising colleagues in the thorough and compliant completion of these activities. You may act as the Global Regulatory Lead and/or the serve as a Gilead contact to / for regulatory authorities as needed.
As **Senior Director, Global Regulatory Affairs Liaison - Pediatric Center of Excellence** , you will act as a senior regulatory representative and pediatric subject matter expert to cross-functional leaders and teams. You will play a leadership role on regulatory leadership teams, at the Pediatric Center of Excellence and in ad hoc or special projects/initiatives that seek to continuously improve or advance GRA capabilities.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Accountable for oversight and leadership of the development and successful completion of global pediatric regulatory strategies, submissions, documents, activities, and other deliverables for products across the Virology, Oncology and Inflammation TAs to achieve strategic milestones and objectives.
+ Makes significant contributions to the ongoing development and optimization of pediatric regulatory strategies, processes, standards, and practices in collaboration across Global TA regulatory liaisons and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with broader product development goals, driving efficiency and enhancing organizational capabilities.
+ Represents Gilead in negotiations with regulatory authorities as needed.
+ Proactively identifies regulatory or pediatric-related risks/issues and ensures timely development of mitigation and/or contingency plans.
+ Manages one or more direct reports.

+ Experience working with one or more Gilead therapeutic areas and varying stages of drug development is strongly preferred.

+ Extensive experience and significant successes setting and directing the regulatory or related strategy to successful conclusion for multiple products.
+ Experience and proven effectiveness negotiating with regulatory authorities.

+ Proven track record of successfully managing large scale, complex, time-sensitive projects.
**Knowledge & Skills**
+ Exceptional interpersonal, self-awareness and negotiation skills, including effective verbal/written communication, team orientation, critical thinking, active listening, problem-solving, dependability, and adaptability, and understanding of team dynamics.
+ Expert knowledge of the drug development process, and global and regional regulatory requirements for medicinal products.

+ Demonstrable ability to effectively communicate project direction and status to varying organizational levels, including leadership teams, executives and steering committees.

+ Strong coaching capabilities to mentor/develop staff.

+ Risk Management: Proactively identify and escalate risk associated with vendor and distributor engagements, ensuring business continuity and adherence to SLAs.
+ Distributor and Vendor Governance: Ensure proper governance structures are in place, leading quarterly business reviews with internal stakeholders to drive accountability and performance of Vendors and Distributors.
+ Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with Procurement and Contract Services to gather stakeholder feedback and align contract management practices with business needs.
**What we look for:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in contract management in a legal firm, logistics operations, or supply chain governance, preferably in a multinational or FMCG environment.
