Job Description
To conduct discreet and thorough investigations into the agricultural sector. The Private Investigator will gather evidence, conduct surveillance, interview subjects, and produce detailed reports to support clients’ needs while complying with ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct surveillance operations (static/mobile) using appropriate equipment and methods
Perform background checks and due diligence investigations
Gather and verify evidence through interviews, fieldwork, or desktop research
Locate missing persons, witnesses, or assets
Collect photographic, video, and written evidence for use in legal proceedings
Collaborate with legal teams, law enforcement, or corporate clients as required
Prepare detailed, factual, and confidential reports
Testify in court or legal proceedings when necessary
Adhere strictly to legal and ethical investigation standards and maintain confidentiality
Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Degree in Criminology or related field
Clean driving license
Background check clearance
Skills and Competencies:Strong analytical and observational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Discretion and sound judgment
Proficient in the use of surveillance and investigative equipment
Ability to blend in and work undercover where necessary
Competency with legal processes and evidence handling
High level of integrity and attention to detail
Computer literacy (report writing, research, databases, etc.)
Experience:Minimum 2–3 years of experience in investigations or a related field
Experience with surveillance, fieldwork, and report writing
Familiarity with civil and criminal law (an asset)
Working Conditions:Work may include irregular hours, nights, weekends, and travel
Fieldwork may involve exposure to risk and high-pressure situations
Role requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality
