**Role Responsibilities**
The purpose of this role is to lead the transformational thinking in Process Safety Management - for Diageo to drive the successful implementation, embedding and sustaining of improvement programmes at market and site level.
The person in this role is a functional expert and will be drawn on throughout the business in this capacity. Will be externally-focused and well as internally-orientated and will bring leading developments in these fields into Diageo and with the Global, Standards and Culture Manager Governance Director will bring the forward steps into the annual and 5-year roadmaps.
The role is key to assure Diageo processes globally via codified implementation via IMPROVE programmes.
**Key Accountabilities:** **Process Safety Management**
+ Functional expert in process safety and codifies best practice
+ Define the Global process safety roadmap
+ Leads elimination of Process Safety specific severe and fatal incidents in all Diageo markets / regions
+ Lead development of Process Safety Management Systems, including process risk assessment, management of change pre cursors and measurement via process safety performance indicators compliance processes
+ Works in conjunction with subject matter experts throughout Diageo in a collaborative way in ideation and roadmap development
+ Leads codification of all H&S practices and process safety specific behaviours at all locations globally
+ Review global performance monthly via safety leading and lagging indicators and ensure site interventions occur as required and ensure delivery of improvement plans to take maturity to leading, with particular focus on process safety, ensure standardisation and codification across all markets for this area.
**Experience, Skills & Capabilities Required**
+ A senior level externally recognized Health & Safety qualification relevant to the role e.g. a professional qualification in Health and Safety, process safety or a related discipline.
+ Demonstrated proven ability working as a H&S professional within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food/drink, pharmaceutical or energy sectors.
+ Extensive industrial experience in Health & Safety, preferably within a manufacturing environment and preferably in food/drink, pharmaceutical or energy sectors delivering a similar programme with exposure to the following areas:
+ Safety Leadership
+ Management influencing
+ Standards development
+ Systems & procedures implementation
+ Project management
+ Must be a team player with proven interpersonal skills. High energy, strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to lead by example.
+ Ability to lead and develop individuals and team that are not direct necessarily report. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple priority initiatives/projects simultaneously.

As **QC Chemistry Manager** , you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality laboratory testing of clean utility, raw material, in-process and final container materials, maintaining full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and safety standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Management of the QC Chemistry team to carry out required chemistry, immunochemistry and protein testing as required
- Ensure QC testing of clean utility, raw material, in-process and final container testing is performed as per the production plan
- Manage integrity of Laboratory Data
- Ensure all methods are qualified/validated in line with site procedures and regulatory/compendial requirements
- Ensure all equipment is validated, maintained, calibrated, and requalified in line with site procedures and regulatory/compendial requirements
- Creation, review and update of test methods and SOPs to ensure all aspects of compliance are adhered to
- Drive and oversee process/product/OOS/deviation investigations
- Implementation of Corrective and Preventative Actions
- Maintain, monitor and report QC Chemistry metrics and KPIs
- Ensure training and development of QC Chemistry team members in conjunction with team development and goals via the performance management process
- Represent QC Chemistry in any regulatory, corporate or internal audits
- Ensure regular Quality interaction with other departments within GWWO and Grifols sister sites
- Support site quality activities, including but not limited to: Annual Product Quality Reviews (APQRs), recall activities, change control etc.
- Responsible for any projects impacting QC Chemistry such as Method Transfers, Process Improvement or Harmonisation Projects
- Keep Abreast of the latest developments from regulatory authorities in relation to Quality Compliance activities
- Manage the safety and performance of QC Chemistry in line with safety regulations and site procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Act as a delegate for activities performed by the QC Senior Manager for QC Chemistry activities
**Knowledge & Skills:**
- Full understanding of relevant cGMP, quality and compliance regulations
- Experience with chromatography instrumentation and methods
- Experience with protein chemistry instrumentation and methods
- Method Transfer and qualification experience
- Understanding of pharmacopoeial requirements and methods
- Excellent communication skills at organisation, team and individual levels
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Strong decision making skills

- Experience in developing analytical methods is desirable

**Qualifications:**

- Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience

- M.Sc. qualification is desirable but not essential

Qualifications Bachelor degree qualification in Process/Chemical engineering (or equivalent). Chartered Engineer with relevant institute or working towards chartered status is an advantage. Minimum 15 years' relevant professional experience in a similar function, with a good understanding of process safety and process design. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, interdisciplinary verbal and written communication skills are essential. Self-motivated, able to work independently, organised and reliable along with a professional approach and demeanour. We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Safety Consultant with broad process design experience to join our Ireland team which serves both the domestic and the wider global Business Units across PM Group. Position Overview The successful candidate will enjoy working on projects containing a diverse range of hazard types. The role involves providing support on projects, both as part of multi-discipline engineering teams and as part of our standalone Process Safety consulting service. Depending on the successful candidates' preference, this opportunity can be permanent or on a contract basis. The successful candidate can work from our Cork or Dublin offices. PM Group have an established Subject Matter Expert (SME) technical pathway for Process Safety permanent staff. Responsibilities A key required skill is in preparing, chairing and reporting of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) reviews, e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, etc. Independently lead and plan process safety activities during various design stages of projects, including managing other process safety colleagues. Act as a process safety focal point for dealing directly with client representatives, equipment vendors and multidiscipline engineering colleagues to obtain the required information and to resolve process safety issues. Independently completing and delivering process safety deliverables such as: PHA reports. Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) - ATEX/DSEAR assessment. Explosion Protection Documents (EPDs). Seveso (COMAH) Documentation (including Safety Reports) Completing Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) Consequence Modelling, i.e., Toxic Dispersion/Fire/Explosion Modelling. DNV-Phast software knowledge is an advantage. Process Safety Calculations e.g. asphyxiation calculations. Project Basis of Safety (BoS). Safety shower assessments Office (hybrid) based with site-based surveys and safety studies where required. Required to work across a variety of diverse industry sectors including pharma, food & beverage, specialty chemicals, advanced manufacturing and mission critical. Qualifications Bachelor degree qualification in Process/Chemical engineering (or equivalent). Chartered Engineer with relevant institute or working towards chartered status is an advantage. Minimum 15 years' relevant professional experience in a similar function, with over 20 years preferred, with a good understanding of process safety and process design. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, interdisciplinary verbal and written communication skills are essential. Self-motivated, able to work independently, organised and reliable along with a professional approach and demeanour. Ability to work on several projects at one time and determine appropriate prioritization. Display an enthusiastic approach towards others with a 'teamwork' focus. Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of the role and project environment. Proven knowledge around a variety of process safety subject matter areas e.g. ATEX/DSEAR, PHA, COMAH, etc. Thorough knowledge of Irish and EU health & safety legislation, codes of practice and standards. Process design experience e.g. developing and maintaining PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing and process calculations. Due to our ongoing success securing large-scale projects we now have a requirement for a Senior CQV Engineer based onsite with a key client in the Pharmaceutical in Limerick. Responsibilities Field execution of Commissioning, Installation & Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ ), Verification for Continuous process, filter dryers, nano-filtration (UFDF), downstream purification, header tanks, feed tanks, Delta V, Utility tie-ins, Purified water & N2 systems. Coordination of vendor packages to achieve streamlined CQV. Coordination/review of construction packages again to achieve streamlined CQV. Knowledge of recent regulations (ICH, ASTM, FDA, ISPE) and modern CQV practices with a focus on downstream activities. Qualifications Educated to degree level in Engineering, or Science related area. Minimum of 3-8 year's plus experience gained within a Life Sciences environment. DeltaV / process equipment start-up experience advantageous. Experience of working in a project environment. Hands-on attitude, specifically functional testing of equipment outlined above. Experienced in downstream processes. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Why PM Group?
