Job role at a leading consulting firm in Ireland, renowned for delivering innovative digital finance transformation solutions and exceptional client service. They are expanding the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice and are seeking a senior Oracle EPM expert specializing in PBCS (Planning & Budgeting Cloud Services) providing comprehensive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) solutions to customers. This fast-growing team is part of the wider Finance Transformation consulting service line.
Responsibilities- Implementation Leadership: Lead and manage the implementation of Oracle EPM Cloud solutions, specifically PBCS, for the FP&A workstream.
- Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to understand their FP&A requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Configuration: Configure and customize Oracle EPM applications to meet client needs in the FP&A domain.
- Data Integration: Develop and maintain data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to clients, ensuring they can effectively use the Oracle EPM tools for financial planning and analysis.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Oracle EPM Cloud features and best practices to continuously improve the service offerings.
- Business Development: Support demos and early client discussions to map out prospect needs in the FP&A workstream.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the EPM space, with a focus on FP&A.
- Education: University degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics, or IT.
- Functional Skills: Strong functional skills in FP&A, with a deep understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience with Oracle EPM Cloud, particularly PBCS. Technical configuration skills, including the ability to customize and optimize Oracle EPM applications for FP&A. Ideally Groovy scripting knowledge.
- Data Integration: Knowledge of data integration techniques and tools.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.

Your key responsibilities- Designing scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures using Databricks and cloud-native tools
- Leading the development of data models, pipelines, and integration frameworks that support analytics and AI
- Collaborating with clients and internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Setting data governance and quality standards to ensure trusted and compliant data
- Guiding and mentoring engineering teams through architecture decisions and best practices
- Driving innovation by exploring new tools, patterns, and approaches to data architecture
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience related to the position
- Proven experience working in a client-facing consulting environment, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, navigate complex requirements, and deliver tailored solutions across diverse industries.
- 7 years' experience working with Databricks. Good hands on experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud
- Experience designing data lakes, lakehouses, and modern data platforms
- Proven experience managing and mentoring high-performing data engineering teams, driving collaboration, professional growth and successful project delivery
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Familiarity with data security, privacy, and compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of data mesh, data fabric, or other emerging architecture patterns
- Professional certification in Databricks
