GE HealthCare is seeking a strategic and technically skilled Senior Environmental Leader to drive enterprise-wide energy management initiatives. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive energy strategy that aligns with GE HealthCare's public climate commitments, including greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. **Job Description**
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop and lead a global energy management strategy that aligns with ISO 50001, GE HealthCare's NetZero goals, and broader ESG commitments, ensuring consistent execution across all business segments and geographies.
+ Influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize and invest in energy initiatives. Partner with EHS, Facilities, Operations, and Finance to integrate energy management into broader business processes.
+ Guide and mentor global sites in identifying, evaluating, and executing energy efficiency, renewable energy, and decarbonization projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and local operational realities. Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to site energy champions and leadership.

+ Establish and maintain enterprise-wide energy performance metrics and dashboards to monitor energy consumption, efficiency trends, and progress toward GHG reduction targets, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Assist with reporting efforts for internal stakeholders and external disclosures
+ Ensure compliance with global energy and environmental regulations. Monitor emerging regulatory trends and assess risk/opportunity impacts.
+ Evaluate and promote emerging technologies (e.g., AI-driven energy optimization, electrification, storage). Lead pilot programs and scale successful solutions across the enterprise.
+ Develop training materials and lead workshops to build energy management capabilities across the organization.
+ Foster a culture of energy awareness and accountability.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or related field.
+ Significant experience in energy management, sustainability, or environmental leadership roles.
+ Strong knowledge of ISO 50001, energy auditing, and GHG accounting.
+ Experience with energy modeling tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI).
+ Professional certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager), LEED AP, or PMP preferred.
+ Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
+ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization.
+ Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Key job responsibilities

- Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.

Basic Qualifications

In the role of Senior Engineer working on Overhead Transmission Line projects, you will be responsible for supervising a team of design engineers specialising in Overhead (OHL) Transmission Lines. This team will be working on a variety of projects encompassing overhead transmission lines ranging from 11kV to 400kV.
**A little bit more about your role:**
+ Providing technical evaluations and offering problem-solving solutions to different team members.
+ Prepare written proposals outlining everything stakeholders should know about a project, including the timeline, allocating resources, budget, objectives, and goals.
+ Offer technical guidance and input throughout the project implementation, statutory planning, and participation in Public Consultation events.
+ Responsible for the engineering and design activities of the team related to the overhead line. This includes PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structure analysis and loading trees, developing design criteria, sag-tension calculations, insulator/conductor blowout, swing angle, damper system recommendations, structure spotting, clearance reports, conductor, and insulator selection, etc.
+ Conducting feasibility studies, performing conductor thermal ratings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
+ Undertake studies to identify a technically preferred solution / layout to take forward to the Client.
+ Actively taking part in Industry working groups such as CIGRE, IEEE.
**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate:**
+ A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power engineering.
+ Experience in overhead line engineering up to 400kV.
+ Experience on upgrading work projects such as utilisation of High Temperature Low Sag conductors.
+ Desirable skills - PLS CADD / POLE / TOWER
+ Knowledge of conducting galloping studies, EMF and Field Effects Calculation, Wake effect, AC Interference for Gas pipelines would be advantageous.

**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
+ Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
+ Experience of small, medium and technically complex new substation, retrofit or network reinforcement projects.
+ Proven experience in HV and EHV substation design (both AIS & GIS), from 132kV up to and including 400kV.
+ Knowledge of engineering standards and technical policies for HV and EHV plant, substations (including earthing and electrical clearances).
+ Exposure to substation cable design and protection and control.
+ Excellent understanding of the H&S and CDM requirements and an ability to undertake the role of 'Designer' and 'Principal Designer' under the CDM regulations.
+ Preferable - Attained / working towards chartered engineer status

+ Design overhead power line systems, including the selection of structures, conductors, and insulators.
+ Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation using software tools such as PLS-CADD, AutoCAD and Microstation.

+ Prior experience on upgrading work projects such as utilisation of High Temperature Low Sag conductors.
+ Knowledge of conducting galloping studies, EMF and Field Effects Calculation, Wake effect, AC Interference for Gas pipelines would be a plus.
+ The ability to travel to projects occasionally.
+ Preferable - Attained / working towards chartered engineer status
+ Preferable - National Grid BP141 OHL Authorisation
