Training will be provided, any civil enginerring experience is appreciated.
There is a minimum of 12 months of work but there is a high possibility of being taken on direct after proving yourself.
The successful Engineer candidate will have: A relevant degree in Civil Engineering or similar Excellent communication, problem-solving and IT skills An up-to-date knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations The right to work in the EU Summary of Role & Principal Duties: Operating and maintaining a number of surface water monitoring stations located on rivers, lakes and tidal locations across the South of the country.
Operating, calibrating and maintaining a number of rain gauge monitoring stations across the South of the country.
Installation of new gauges and stations, if required.
Installation, operation, calibration and maintenance of data logging and telemetry equipment.
Data download, collection, validation, processing and management.
Undertaking flow gaugings at river level monitoring stations.
Supervision of operational support staff (Ganger Driver) or other staff as directed by the Area Engineer.
