**Responsibilities:**
+ Complete surveys on existing housing stock, including local authority properties and similar bodies.
+ Utilize costing and pricing tools to ensure sufficient fee generation.
+ Conduct statutory property surveys on domestic properties.
+ Prepare detailed and timely reports.
+ Perform onsite inspections, accurately recording and reporting survey details.
+ Undertake site visits and conduct surveys on various sites.
+ Complete technical due diligence.

**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Property, or a Construction-related discipline.
+ Chartered building surveyor or on the path to becoming accredited

+ CAD knowledge and experience.
+ Experience in tendering.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Job Overview**
The successful candidate will perform critical technical support to our fire engineering and fire surveying teams and clients across the UK and Ireland. Here at Jensen Hughes, our clients trust us to respond rapidly and deliver conclusive reports, of the highest technical standard. You will undertake on-site fire inspections/surveys (particularly during the construction phase as well as the operational phase) and will be involved in external wall surveys during both new build and refurbishment, undertaking fire stopping and fire compartmentation surveys, fire door inspections and from time to time fire risk assessments. You will ultimately support the fire safety disciplines at Jensen Hughes. You will report direct to our Lead Surveyor and Divisional Director.
**Responsibilities**
+ Carrying out active and passive fire protection systems surveys and technical reports
+ Compliance assessment and understanding of the main Irish fire safety legislation and standards applied to different building occupancies, such as Technical Guidance Document B (TGDB), BS 9991, BS999 and associated suite of Irish / British Standards etc.
+ Updating the passive fire protection technical knowledge base
+ Attend site throughout the construction process to inspect and identify any issues with the construction related to compliance with the Fire Safety Certificate approved design, in accordance with the agreed inspection plan.
+ Produce technical reports in a timely manner, to highlight any issues apparent on site relating to the construction process.
+ Review contractor responses to items raised and respond accordingly until closed out.
+ Take part in inspections for licenced premises to assist in the application for liquor licensing
+ Undertaking external façade assessments to meet the requirement of the industry standard.
+ Undertaking third party oversight role of fire stopping and fire compartmentation installations.
+ Undertaking visual only fire doors surveys.
+ Managing your own client base and exceeding client expectations
+ Providing in-house CPD presentations when the need arises in your specialist area
+ Keeping updated with the latest industry guidance, product literature and sharing this knowledge with the wider organisation as part of continuous improvement.
+ Travel to client sites for site surveys and meetings will be required on a regular basis with overnight stays likely.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
+ Degree educated in Building Surveying or other similar discipline or equivalent site based experience.
+ Full Irish driving licence and access to your own private vehicle.
+ Basic understanding of fire safety design and guidance for different building types.
+ Experience carrying out intrusive external wall surveys is desirable but not essential on a wide range of new and existing buildings such as high-rise residential, office buildings, large retail complexes and historic buildings.
+ Experience undertaking fire compartmentation surveys is desirable but not essential for internal fire stopping installations and advising the contractor based on the relevant manufacturer's literature.
+ The ability to author technical reports utilising the information obtained during the site inspection using both bespoke digital software and Microsoft Word.
+ The ability to undertake works independently and manage your own workload as required.
+ The ability to be coachable and develop your skillset further, utilising the resources and expertise within the wider team.
+ A basic knowledge of the fire risk assessment process is desirable but not essential and a general appreciation of general risk/hazards within the built environment.
+ A general knowledge of construction methods, forms of construction, fire performance of external wall materials and associated cavity barriers installations.
+ Knowledge of internal passive fire protection products, fire testing regimes and the products field of application with reference to manufacturers installation details.
+ Knowledge of refurbishment schemes and managing/advising Contractors on-site.

Role Purpose
This opportunity provides is for a Senior Surveyor level candidate. The role is for a RICS/SCSI Qualified Surveying position within our Building Consultancy team undertaking professional and project work for a combination of Landlords, Occupiers, small private investment companies, institutions and corporate clients.
Practice areas that are expected of the candidate include building surveys for investment and occupation purposes, dilapidations, contract administration, refurbishment works and maintenance advice (PPM), development monitoring on behalf of Funders, and project management work.
Key Responsibilities
To assist in the successful implementation and delivery of professional and contract building surveying within the Building Surveying Team through the completion of a range of typical building surveying instructions.
Take responsibility for the management of client and project teams to deliver building surveying services profitably and on time;
Deliver projects from inception to completion with the minimum of supervision to meet the project objectives in accordance with company policies;
Projects to include but are not restricted to:-
Building surveys for Investment or occupational purposes;
Contract Administration;
Preparation of specifications and schedules of work;
Drafting of Standard Contract forms;
Collating project documentation;
Defect analysis;
Preparation of Schedule of Dilapidations and negotiating on behalf of Landlord & Tenant;
Works in conjunction with the Party Wall etc Act;
Development and Project Monitoring role for investors, occupiers and institutions;
Project Management of new build and fit out projects;
Preparation of CAD plans/elevations/sections and details is desirable;
Comply with CBRE's policies and management system;
Work in compliance with Quality Management Procedures;
To positively contribute to the department's business plan and to assist in achieving its objectives;
Person Specification/Requirements
MSCSI qualified with at least 3 years relevant post qualification commercial surveying experience;
Good appreciation of professional and project based building surveying matters;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues;
Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a project;
Present a professional knowledgeable persona and possess business acumen;
Build, develop and maintain existing business and client relationships;
Organise and prioritise tasks so that they are completed within an agreed time frame;
Provide concise and clear written communication;
Understand the basics of the local and wider property market and CBRE's services;
Able to contribute to business development activities;
Understand and apply all CBRE procedures relating to work activities;
Able to plan and manage own workload;
Able to delegate whilst maintaining accountability and ensuring delivery;
Computer literate including Word, Excel and ideally MS Project;
Clean driving license;

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Building Surveyor, you will provide advice in relation to technical due diligence instructions and other general building surveying advice.
This job is part of the Building Consultancy function. They are responsible for specialist building services including surveying, inspections, and planning.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Work closely with internal departments to grow relationships and business opportunities.

**What You'll Need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

+ Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
+ Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

Job Overview:
The Functional Safety Manager will be responsible for the ISO 26262 safety management of Cadence design IP products targeted for automotive products, and development of ISO 26262 compliant processes, infrastructure, and work products. He/she will work with the safety organizations of our customers, vendors, external safety expert consultants and internal product development teams to ensure that the functional safety process is well understood, executed and documented.
This role will be an integral part of an agile engineering team that focuses on bringing safety solutions per the ISO26262 standard to Cadence customers in the fast growing Automotive/ADAS markets.

Job Responsibilities:
+ Act as Functional Safety Manager for safety related hardware and software products
+ Analyze impact of ISO 26262 releases for DIP and create Functional Safety awareness across department
+ Perform safety management activities according to relevant standards during all project phases (concept, product development, production) such as developing safety plans including defining the necessary safety related activities, work products and processes
+ Manage creation of safety work products which include the Safety Plan, Safety Manual, Safety Requirements, and Safety Analysis including FMEDA and DFA and Safety Verification and Validation activities
+ Collaborate with project engineers, marketing & development team, safety consultants, vendors and customers on Functional Safety activities
+ Define and implement functional safety processes associated with hardware development
+ Create/review functional safety documentation according to ISO 26262
+ Conduct reviews with product teams to ensure functional safety standards are being met throughout product development cycles
Job Qualifications:
+ BSEE/BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). MS preferred.
+ 10+ or more years of relevant work experience.
+ Experience with ISO 26262 standard. Preferable if holds Safety certification.
+ Experience in functional safety compliance, testing or auditing or QA (quality assurance) of embedded HW/SW systems
+ Experience in safety analysis of hardware including FMEA, FMEDA and DFA
+ Experience in working with certification bodies to gain product certification to ISO26262
+ Experience with standards-based embedded HW/SW systems Product Development Life Cycle i.e. HW IP design and verification processes, ASIC design methodologies, and software development tools and methods.
+ Familiarity with Configuration, Requirements, and Documentation Management tools (e.g. GitHub, Jama, DOORS, JIRA, etc)
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and clear, concise documentation writing skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas succinctly and persuasively to peers, management, customers and partners.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
+ Proven record of taking customer safety requirements from concept to final product.
+ Experience in working with certification bodies to gain product certification to ISO26262
+ Experience in fault injection techniques
+ Experience in development of software safety diagnostic routines
+ Experience in Software Quality and process (e.g., SPICE, CMMI).
+ Experience of applying MISRA standards in software development
+ Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management standard
