FT is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer - Civil and Environmental Engineering to join our Circular Economy and Environment team, based in our Cork, Dublin, or Carlow offices. This position is a key part of our growing business and involves close collaboration with a team of experienced professionals. We are looking for candidates with at least 8 years of relevant experience. The successful applicant will become part of an established and reputable company, with opportunities to further develop both technical expertise and managerial capabilities. This role also provides a defined pathway for career progression to the level of Principal Engineer. FT's Responsibilities What would my main responsibilities be in this role? Overseeing the planning and management of design work and CAD documentation, in close collaboration with Project Engineers and Engineering Technicians Participating in on-site meetings with clients and other professionals Ensuring adherence to the company's Quality Assurance and Management Systems Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations Coordinating activities and deliverables with other members of the project team Skills / Qualifications Am I the right person for the role? Qualifications A minimum qualification Level 8 or Level 9 NEQ qualification (or equivalent) in Planning & Sustainable Development or related Environmental Science/Engineering discipline. Chartered planner (IPI, RTPI or equivalent) or working towards chartership Relevant experience in the area of planning and environmental management / consultancy. Knowledge of Irish planning and environmental legislation, policy and practice. Project Management skills with attentiveness to critical dates and adherence to deadlines Clear and confident verbal & written communication skills. Excellent knowledge of report preparation (MS Word) and use of MS Excel. Proven track record of working on your own initiative.
