FT is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer - Civil and Environmental Engineering to join our Circular Economy and Environment team, based in our Cork, Dublin, or Carlow offices. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with significant experience of planning and permitting to work on large scale projects. You will enjoy working on multiple large-scale projects in the Irish and international markets across a number of sectors. The successful candidate can work from either of our Irish operational Business Units in Dublin or Cork. Responsibilities We are very interested in hearing from all candidates who are passionate professionals with the following experience: Involvement in the preparation and management of development consents, compliance and planning strategy for large scale projects Participation in design process for layout, master planning and input or coordination of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) Management of the interaction with multi-disciplinary project teams, clients and stakeholders Liaising with County Councils, An Bord Pleanla (An Coimisin Pleanla) and other statutory bodies as required Experience with engagement with environmental permitting including EPA Licence application process and/or the waste facility licencing process would be beneficial If you have many but not all of the above experience we would like to hear from you as you will be supported by an excellent team of professionals in this role. Qualifications A minimum qualification Level 8 or Level 9 NEQ qualification (or equivalent) in Planning & Sustainable Development or related Environmental Science/Engineering discipline. Chartered planner (IPI, RTPI or equivalent) or working towards chartership Relevant experience in the area of planning and environmental management / consultancy. Knowledge of Irish planning and environmental legislation, policy and practice. Project Management skills with attentiveness to critical dates and adherence to deadlines Clear and confident verbal & written communication skills. Excellent knowledge of report preparation (MS Word) and use of MS Excel. Proven track record of working on your own initiative.
