The Business Transformation Analyst will be the hands-on driver behind the scenes, allowing the Head of Transformation to focus on broader strategy and stakeholder alignment.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Transformation Analyst to join our growing transformation department for an initial period of 12 months on either a secondment or FTC.

This role will support the Head of Transformation in delivering high-impact change across the organisation, with a focus on optimising workflows, enabling AI adoption, and supporting strategic projects within our medical billing operations.

This is a critical enabling role that combines data analysis, process design, and project support to accelerate transformation outcomes and improve business performance.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Process Mapping & Analysis
  • Analyse current-state workflows (e.g., claims, billing, triage).
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and automation opportunities.
  • Support future-state design with clear documentation and visuals (e.g., Visio, Miro).
  • Data Gathering & Reporting
  • Compile and interpret operational data (claim volumes, rejection rates, turnaround times).
  • Build dashboards and performance summaries to inform decision-making.
  • Business Case Development
  • Create cost-benefit models and ROI projections for automation, AI, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support transformation funding and prioritisation efforts with evidence-backed proposals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Conduct discovery interviews and workshops with operations leads and subject matter experts.
  • Translate team feedback into actionable insights for transformation projects.
  • Change & Project Tracking
  • Maintain transformation logs, initiative trackers, and project dashboards.
  • Assist in monitoring pilot rollouts, adoption metrics, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Database Support
  • Maintain and update internal databases used to track change initiatives, client data, and performance metrics.

Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years’ experience in business analysis, operations, consulting, or healthcare transformation. Background in medical billing, claims, or healthcare tech a plus.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities are essential
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Miro, Loop).
  • Comfortable working with complex data and translating it into actionable insight.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Exposure to AI, RPA, or healthcare automation tools and an understanding of the healthcare claims lifecycle or clinical admin workflows is desirable.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
Responsible for the identification of process improvements to support affordability savings through:
+ Develop Clinical Business Performance Improvement Strategy across Optum Health value streams to support an ambitious growth target of medical cost savings
+ Lead on implementing continuous improvements or strategic improvements to lead PI portfolio for Optum Health and support Gross Medical Cost Savings of approximately $ 3 Billion
+ Leadership and strategic planning skills to drive strategic operating model of the business keeping in mind the growth/innovation pillars to support the business
+ Develop and articulate Behavioral Health Payment Integrity Business Process Improvement & Transformation Strategy aligning it with our core values and business goals
+ Lead and inspire a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and adaptability across all levels of the organization to support an ambitious growth target and medical cost savings
+ Strategize & lead Transformation roadmap to achieve multi year benefits in collaboration with Product, Technology, analytics & Automation leaders
+ Drive organizational change initiatives, ensuring they are strategically aligned, effectively communicated, and successfully implemented
+ Create a high performing process exceeding all KPIs, & SLAs in partnership with Operations, Analytics and automation
+ Ensure operational performance improvements are tracked accurately, by establishing and automating statistical control models for value streams, utilizing internal tools and processes
+ Drive changes to performance metrics in partnership with finance, Analytics, workforce management / industrial engineering and ensuring benefits are accounted in P&L accurately
+ Communicate with Leadership/Senior Leadership about progress, challenges and actions required to remove hurdles
+ Provide guidance and assistance to internal and external (client) partners to ensure programs and strategies are implemented effectively and value realized
+ Collaborate with stakeholders, ability to influence without authority to gain support and buy-in for proposed business process solutions and adherence to team requirements
+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business transformation
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree or Undergraduate degree with equivalent experience in Business Operations, Transformation, Change Management and Strategy
+ Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful organizational change initiatives
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the skill to inspire and motivate teams
+ A track record of fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment
+ Prove track record in managing large scale complex programs within a matrix environment
+ Trained in process improvement and change management programs like Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent degree from reputed university
+ Working knowledge of US health care and payment integrity in specific
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Six Sigma Black Belt certified with in-depth understanding of LEAN process
+ Knowledge / understanding of CPC coding

**What does a successful Product Business Analyst do at Fiserv?**
As a Business Analyst (BA) you will be responsible for gathering and understanding the business needs of Fiserv's clients. You will ensure that the requirements are accurately documented allowing Fiserv's technical teams implement the defined solution. **What you will do:**
+ Gather and document business requirements. Understanding current business needs, identify gaps with those current procedures, features and functionalities, and recommend possible solutions. This includes data gathering and exploration, research into current industry trends, and what competitors might be doing and working closely with stakeholders across departments
+ Feasibility assessment of client requirements against existing functions
+ Interrogation of system possibilities that would meet client requirements, and effort assessment for same
+ Determine stakeholders (clients / internal teams / vendors), and establish areas for additional stakeholder involvement
+ Continuously assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions and suggest refinements
+ Awareness of cost effectiveness, timeliness and priorities of each delivery
+ Ability to elicit necessary detail and comprehend multiple technical wide-ranging requirements
+ Anticipate post-production implications with delivery of requirements
+ Assess the impacts to each (multiple) stakeholder involved
**What you will need to have:**
+ 4-year degree or equivalent experience
+ 3-4 years analysis experience
+ Knowledge and experience - 'Agile SAFE' Methodology in Enterprise Jira (drafting Features, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria) and Confluence
+ Proven track record of gathering customer requirements 'As-Is', analysing and translating these into business 'To-Be' solutions
+ Ability to provide concise and necessary details required for each stakeholder (multiple)
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, clients, developers, testers and subject matter experts
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office drafting Business Requirements Documents / Solution Scope Documents, XLS, XML, Visio, PowerPoint - project size / scope can vary considerably

+ Qualification in Business/Accounting
+ Ability to write / run SQL scripts advantageous
