Job Description
We are looking for a Site Supervisor with at least 5 years' experience facilitating the delivery of HV projects, working in the Midlands / Munster . In support of ESB's strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity, building resilient infrastructure and empowering clients, you will be responsible for delivery of projects from 38kV to 400kV. This may involve some elements of substation work, underground cable works, overhead line work and/or other work streams as required. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Facilitating the delivery of several projects, including planning, organizing, directing and controlling the projects Interfacing with local network controllers, delivery teams, materials/stores, and other suppliers/stakeholders Managing landowners and other local stakeholders to ensure delivery of projects Scheduling project work and tracking and reporting on progress and performance Managing productivity and performance of resources tasked with delivery of the projects Assisting with and reporting on project costs Ensuring a safe working environment for staff, contractors and the publicand assessing and reporting on quality of tasks and work during construction Managing contractors (subcontractors including interfaces with internal teams) Experience and Qualifications Essential Advanced Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate or a suitable Level 7 or higher qualificationin Electrical, Electrical Services, Electronics, Mechanical or other suitable alternative qualification, (with a sizeable electrical theory content) At least 5 years relevant experience, preferably in the delivery of HV Substation Projects Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of HV Substation construction Experience of Quality Management Experience in Project Delivery Location This role will be working on projects located in the Midlands /Munster. The role may require a significant amount of travel (often at short notice) throughout Ireland ESB is committed to smart working - combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working. The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week.
