Ability to take ownership of projects Requirements Third level qualification in Electrical , Electronic, Computer Science Or a qualified electrician with 3+ years relevant industrial design experience. Electrical Design Engineer (Substations) **Hybrid Available** Due to continued growth, one of my clients are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer (Substations) to join the team and manage HV substation design works associated with a number of transmission and distribution projects. This client is a utility infrastructure consultancy and construction company, operating extensively within the utilities sector in Ireland, the UK and internationally. This is a full-time position based out of the Dublin office with Hybrid working and will require travel to sites. Role: Equipment design including Generator, Uninterruptible Power Supplier, Switchgear, Transformers and Earthing Systems. Drawing preparation & detailing (AutoCAD, MicroStation, EPLAN). Development of Control & Protection schematics, wiring schedules and material specification Preparation of Electrical plant drawings and Single Line Diagrams Designing Mechanical and Electrical services Ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements and building codes. Define project scope and provide technical support for the information requests prior to, and during construction phases. Completion of as-builts, once commissioning has been completed Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
