With the huge demand of large scale pharmaceutical and data centre projects, our client has taken on large amounts of these projects in the South of Ireland. The company although fairly new has already made a name for themselves in the South of Ireland taking on multiple multi-million projects.

They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work on large scale projects in the South of Ireland worth a minimum of €5M. After a rapid growth in recent years, they are looking to bring in a good quality Quantity Surveyor to help on a wide variety of unique projects.

A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Extensive experience in Irish Contracting
  • Education - Quantity Surveying or Engineering Degree
  • Extensive experience in main contracting
  • Vast knowledge on the fluidity that makes large scale projects progress
  • Knowledge of MEP sector and the reasons for certain projects

Job Description What you need to know: Our client a global leader in sustainable construction is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Tipperary, Ireland. This is a full-time on-site position offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative, innovative environment that values excellence and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial success of projects through cost control, procurement, and stakeholder engagement across various phases of construction. Your new job: Key duties & responsibilities: Manage subcontractor procurement, including preparation and administration of order documentation. Process subcontractor payment applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements. Measure project progress and assist in preparing valuations, final accounts, and retention releases. Support effective change management processes and ensure adherence to all commercial procedures. Prepare cost and procurement documentation to support accurate project delivery. Collaborate with the buying team to identify material cost-saving opportunities. Monitor and control project costs, including forecasting and regular financial reporting. Administer contracts in line with project specifications and company policies. Compile monthly valuation reports and cash flow forecasts for internal stakeholders. Actively participate in project and company meetings, providing clear commercial insights and updates. What are we looking for? Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within the construction or manufacturing sectors. Strong commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. A proactive approach to accuracy, accountability, and process improvement.
