Role: Experienced Mechanical Fitter As acritical member of the Companys Maintenance team, youwill work at maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery in our manufacturing facilities.Youwill work closely with all staff in each department to ensure optimum machinery performance and reduction of downtime. Desirable criteria: Due to the nature of the role preference will be given to applicants demonstrating the following: Experience of working with heavy plant/industrial machinery, Electrical Experience in major mechanical upgrades and installations; Machining experience use of manual lathes, milling machines; Electrical qualification and experience specifically relevant to maintenance and fault finding. Main duties: Carry out mechanical reactive and preventative maintenance within all areas of the plant and on rolling plant; Plant improvements, upgrades and installations; Carry out visual line inspections of all plant and equipment; Fault diagnosis to establish root cause of failure on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems; Appropriately use and handling of mechanical equipment; Liaise with production personnel ensuring all machinery and equipment is in proper working order; Carry out all maintenance duties in a safe and practical manner; Perform preventative maintenance activities on plant and equipment as per schedule. Ensure a quick response to breakdowns and emergency call-out situations; Maintain spare parts store and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. Source and order spares and parts as required. Meet all assigned maintenance targets and assist others in accomplishing their targets. Keep designated areas for daily maintenance and workshop clean, tidy and orderly; HEALTH & SAFETY Proactively comply with the Companys Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Attend health and safety meetings and make positive contributions. Promote health and safety awareness in Drenagh sawmills employees and contractors. GENERAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE Participate in training events organised by the Company. Participate in LEAN Company improvement activities including daily meetings. Communicate effectively with the management team and all personnel. Communicate and work effectively with external contractors. Maintain appropriate maintenance records and keepinformation in an automated maintenance information system up to date. Undertake any training required. Any other duties which may reasonably be required by the company. **Job Overview:**
As the Maintenance Technician, you will support the Maintenance Manager to maintain a state-of-the-art automated plant. You will be required to complete corrective and preventative maintenance to maintain core and non-core plant equipment to the highest standard, therefore a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude will be paramount.

+ Ensure compliance with all HSE and Food Safety & Quality legal and regulatory requirements and associated policies, standards, procedures and forms of the Company within the operations environmentLead preventative maintenance of site equipment to improve equipment efficiency and reduce machine downtime.
+ Respond to corrective and emergency breakdowns to improve up-times on equipment, while maintaining GMP standards.
+ Assist in developing the TPM and PM process to cover all core / non-core equipment for the manufacturing facility.
+ Support production with TPM schedules and procedures to maintain equipment to the highest standard.
+ Complete site safety checks to ensure site regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of site safety.
+ Monitor and evaluate all equipment systems for the manufacturing group and make necessary changes for continuous production improvements including but not limited to the modifying and upgrading of equipment.
+ Support the Maintenance Manager & Maintenance Planner to maintain and monitor on site systems, to include PPM and BMS software.
+ Support cross functional departments and external contractors in project work, with tight deadlines.
+ Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner and to the correct standard.

+ To maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and GMP during maintenance work, including maintaining the workshops and spare part storage areas in an organised and tidy condition at all time.
+ To participate in all training and assessment activities related to the position e.g GMP training, equipment technical training, Health & Safety requirements and undertake additional tasks as assigned by the maintenance manager or maintenance supervisor.
+ Continuous improvement of production processes equipment, by identifying and implementing improvement projects that will improve the operating effectiveness of equipment.
+ Experience and knowledge of plant maintenance and calibration systems. Including software management systems. SAP PM
+ To be familiar with writing all relevant equipment SOP's and controls for the operation and safe running of equipment.
+ To assist with training of machine operators on machine set up, operations fault correction and adjustment.
+ Respond to out of hours calls and emergencies as part of an on-call roster within the maintenance department.
+ Follow systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
+ Responsible for the day to day updating of SAP with the relevant work orders and the correction information relating to preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance tasks.
**Who we are looking for**
+ Senior trades qualification and at least 5 years post qualification experience in mechanical or electrical trade (essential).
+ Experience of hands-on of mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing equipment, high volume packaging lines.
+ Must possess superior written and verbal skills excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask.
+ Experience in Pneumatics, electronics, hydraulics, Programmable controllers, servo drives, HVAC and specifically vision systems.
+ Experience in high volume automation/ robotics.
+ Experience in manufacturing plant equipment (HVAC, process equipment, compressed air systems and purified water systems)
+ Clear understanding of vision systems, Cognex, Systec is advantageous.
+ Understanding of the production of purified water generation and distribution.
+ Experience in a GMP environment, GMP compliance understanding.
+ Experience in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing facility.
+ SAP PM experience
+ Experience in PLC Siemens, Omron

Role Description Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, as a Maintenance Technician within the Maintenance team, you are responsible for some Electrical and Mechanical problem solving and providing technical support for the plant facilities and services (including compressed air, refrigeration and steam). The Maintenance Technician will help support the Production Team in achieving their targets and maintaining optimum performance. Responsibilities: Routine checking and monitoring of Plant and Equipment operation to ensure optimum plant performance and compliance with contractual requirements; Calibration and testing of plant equipment, alarms, and instrumentation in accordance with CMMS, Vendor recommendations, and/or contractual requirements; Completion of Planned Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance required in accordance with CMMS, and recording completion of same with CMMS; Liaison with sub-contractors to ensure maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and safe manner. Timely response to plant/equipment failures with plant repair or replacement as appropriate, and recording completion of same with CMMS; Problem solving and trouble-shooting mechanical, process, electrical problems and application of good working principles; Identification and management of appropriate spares required to ensure reliability of plant operation; Ownership of permit to work system, general work permit, LOTO, hot works permit etc. Use of remote monitoring tools such as BMS to verify plant condition. Availability for response to plant failures outside normal operation hours in accordance with roster for same, and general availability to assist in remote trouble shooting where appropriate; Make suggestions to improve plant reliability and operational efficiency in conjunction with Team Lead; General maintenance duties required for plant, services and WWTP; All duties to be carried out in accordance with relevant safety procedures, documentation and training; Responsibility for ensuring that all work is carried out accurately and with due diligence; Effective time management and execution of work within defined timeline and budgetary constraints; Plan and co-ordinate all shutdowns in conjunction with management; Ensure Health & Safety, Ethical and Quality requirements, both legislative and company specific, are fully respected and taken account of. Carrying out maintenance and repair of some electrical installations including panel fault finding and VSD replacement. Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Language Requirements Qualifications: Mechanical qualification Qualification in instrumentation an advantage Multi-skilled / cross-skilled ethos Previous experience in a facility maintenance environment would be an advantage. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings would be an advantage. Some knowledge in maintenance and experience of supporting a high volume manufacturing environment.
