Sanmina Fermoy's core specialization is manufacturing automation. We provide services for the entire product lifecycle from New Product Introduction (NPI), prototyping and process validation to complex volume manufacturing & test, shipping and repair. We create a state-of-the-art environment for manufacturing medical and other high-quality devices. The facility has a track record of 30 years of outstanding operational performance and customer service, backed by a highly experienced workforce. We hire people with a range of skills, experience, and backgrounds to fulfill roles in careers such as engineering, quality and manufacturing to name just a few. OBJECTIVES OF POSITION: Management and maintenance of all facilities and utilities on site. RESPONSIBILITIES: This person will manage the co-ordination and implementation of a wide variety of maintenance and facility project activities on site. Procurement of subcontractors' services as required to fulfill requirements. Supervision & Training of direct reports and co-ordination of resources to ensure that site objectives are achieved. Effective maintenance of plant utilities and systems to ensure compliance and continuity of services. Supervise and co-ordinate utility upgrades. Develop and maintain Preventative Maintenance procedures for critical utilities and the Facility. Manage contractor activity, capital projects and budgets related to Facilities activities Identify improvement projects (Cost, Processes, Systems) to improve the Facilities functions and reduce the total cost of the Facilities function. Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations MEASUREMENTS: Measurements will be tracked against plant metrics and MBOs tracked as per the annual appraisal process. Improvement projects will be tracked against Project Plan & Cost reduction targets. PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL: NFQ Level 8 with 5 - 7 years experience in a similar role with supervisory management experience. Supervisory management experience. Proven track record in facilities management in high volume manufacturing facility. DESIRABLE: Experience of facility management in the Medical device industry would be an advantage. Lead the implementation of AI technologies to enhance efficiency, collaborate with internal teams to identify needs, deploy solutions, and train staff on AI tools. Manage team rosters and holiday approvals, conduct staff appraisals, train on fire safety and maintenance policies, assist with event planning and setup, and support clinical teams as needed.
