Job Description

About the Role As a Joiner, you will carry out a full range of joinery work, both reactive and planned, . This includes interpreting working drawings, ordering materials, and ensuring work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. You will also play a role in supporting other staff, participating in on-the-job training. Key Responsibilities Undertake a full range of joinery tasks, including benchwork and repairs in a building maintenance environment. Carry out both reactive and planned maintenance . Work from provided working drawings, ensuring accuracy and quality in execution. Identify, order, and collect materials as required. Provide job-costing and time-recording information as needed. Participate in a 24-hour emergency callout service if required. Assist in the training and on-the-job coaching of new employees, contractors, apprentices, or other relevant staff. Erect and dismantle scaffolding, including work at heights. Maintain detailed records of work for performance monitoring and reporting purposes. Essential Criteria Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of applications: Be a time-served Joiner or hold relevant qualifications such as Parts 1 and 2 Certificates in Craft and Advanced Craft in Carpentry and Joinery. Possess a full, current driving licence valid in Northern Ireland, or have access to transport that meets the requirements of the post. Demonstrate at least one year's relevant experience in the following areas: Working in a building maintenance environment. Undertaking benchwork and joinery repairs in commercial properties. Special Skills and Attributes Applicants must also demonstrate evidence of the following skills and attributes: Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve objectives. Health and Safety Awareness: Understanding the importance of compliance and appropriate use of PPE. Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and complete documentation. Store Design is an established and dynamic commercial shopfitting company, specialising in design, manufacturing, premium quality display systems and furniture based in Tallaght, Dublin 24. ROLE Due to the ever-increasing demand for our services there is now a need for Qualified Cabinetmakers to join the close-knit team in Tallaght Dublin. This is an immediate start role - where you will be undertaking various projects, using your experience to produce high quality pieces. You will be working within an experienced, committed team and you will be confident in working from drawings and working on bespoke joinery. THE CANDIDATE As a Qualified Cabinetmaker you will have a proven history within a similar role with the ability to work on bespoke retail projects. You will be able to work within time-scales and deadlines to ensure contracts and projects targets are met. You will also have experience of working with woodwork machinery and hand power tools. KEY EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE Experience of working within a Cabinet maker role is essential Competent with panel saw and Edge bander is essential Experience in manufacture of Bespoke Display furniture would be a distinct advantage Competent in working from drawings and job specifications is essential Advantages: Experience in shopfitting Full driving license Valid safe pass & manual handling certificates References from previous employment *Salary: Negotiable depending on experience * Skills: Woodworking bespoke cabinet shopfitting Retail Furniture Manufacturing Cabinetry Benefits: bike year end bonus ovetime double time
