The Role & What You Will Be Doing

As a key member of the Global Communications and Corporate Brand team, the Director, Global Operations Communications will lead the development and execution of communications supporting the Global Quality Organization and Global Supply Organization. This individual will help the organization continue to champion a culture of quality at operations sites and deliver communications that inspire, connect, and reinforce the critical role these functions play in Viatris' success.

This person reports to the Head of Global Commercial, R&D and Operations communications and is a strategic advisor to the broader Corporate Affairs team on quality, manufacturing and supply-related communications. While this role does not have direct reports, it requires strong leadership and influence across a global network of colleagues within Operations, Quality, Human Relations, Global Communications and Corporate Brand and Corporate Affairs.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Drive Strategic Operations Communications:

    Develop and execute communication strategies that promote a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and customer service across global operations.
  • Develop Executive & Leader Communications:

    Develop and execute communications plans for the Chief Supply Officer and the Chief Quality Officer to drive engagement, visibility and connection with colleagues. Equip leaders with tools and messaging to foster alignment and engagement.
  • Enhance Employee Engagement & Communication Effectiveness:

    Lead the development of an Operations Communications Council bringing together key communicators across operations sites to drive employee engagement and promote knowledge and best practice sharing to enhance communications efforts in supporting the business.
  • Lead Change & Organizational Communications:

    Provide strategic counsel and develop communications to support organizational announcements, restructuring activities, divestitures and integrations impacting Global Operations and Global Quality to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruptions.
  • Prepare for and Manage Issues:

    Proactively prepare for known issues to mitigate impact and continue to refine issues management response strategy. Provide prompt and appropriate internal/external communications support in the event of a crisis, working with operations leaders and Global Communications and Corporate Brand and Corporate Affairs.
  • Support External Communications:

    Assist with background for media inquiries. Stay informed of manufacturing and supply chain industry news, advise how it could impact communications internally and externally and sharing relevant information with Global Communications and Corporate Affairs leadership.
  • Measure Impact & Drive Continuous Improvement:

    Use metrics and analytics to assess communications effectiveness, apply insights to improve efforts and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate & Align Globally:

    Serve as a collaborative partner with Global Communications and Corporate Brand, Corporate Affairs, Quality and Operations teams. Ensure consistency with brand standards and adherence to the evolving corporate narrative through external communications review process and other avenues. Travel, as needed, to foster relationships and enhance understanding of operations sites globally.
  • Support Operations-Related Content Creation:

    Assist with communications for environmental, health, and safety efforts. Participate in content creation, including video/photo shoots, to showcase Viatris' operations capabilities.
  • Champion Culture & Corporate Values:

    Promote Viatris' values, ethical standards, and commitment to quality and compliance in all communications efforts. Inspire creative, proactive communication thinking across the team.

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in communication or related discipline is preferred.

Job Description
We are currently looking for a Global Labelling Operations Manager to join our team in Dublin. This role provides leadership for labelling project management, strategic and tactical label change planning and forecasting of label changes to ensure the Global Label Management organisation meets its performance objectives. The position will lead packaging and artwork strategy and shared label strategy across the product lifecycle. Responsibility to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment for labelling projects, including manufacturing, engineering, regulatory and supply chain, among others, to achieve the Perfect Label. Ensures assurance of supply and compliance with content and market requirements for new product launches, safety updates and other core labelling programs.
+ Global product leadership for strategic planning and forecasting of label change projects

**Role Objective**

+ Monitor changes in customs regulations and industry trends and support updates of internal policies and procedures accordingly
