Reporting to the Plant Manager the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment at Tynagh Power Station, ensuring our operations meet all national and global EHS regulations. A critical part of the role will be supporting the safety of the site team and contractors.
**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Manage day-day site EHS activities to ensure full compliance with local, National and European regulations.
+ Implement and execute GE Vernova O&M EHS programs / processes and industry best practices.
+ Maintain excellent site-specific EHS programs and plans
+ Provide guidance and interpretation of EHS regulations and requirements affecting site to management team and team members.
+ Partner with teams to manage site EHS compliance activities (inspections, training, monitoring, sampling, etc.)
+ Drive EHS compliance through audits, process / equipment reviews and site inspections
+ Lead site risk reduction and environmental Improvement activities
+ Manage site EHS training program and EHS budgets
+ Complete all site regulatory monitoring (Annual environmental reports, Emissions calculations) and work closely with site customer to ensure timely submittal of reports
+ Lead site injury and illness prevention program. Lead incident / accident investigations and develop corrective & preventive action plans
+ Work cooperatively with wider GE Vernova EHS resources on business projects and initiatives
+ Manage IEL Licence/Greenhouse gas emissions licence and reporting requirements.
**Qualifications / Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
+ Proven EHS experience in a similar regulated industry or engineering environment.
+ Power Plant or industry experience or similar is a benefit.
**Desired Characteristics**
+ Knowledge EPA and Irish specific regulations, with demonstrated experience in Air, Water, and Waste permits, hazardous waste, and other environmental programs.
+ Directly interacting with regulatory inspectors (HSA, EPA, COMAH etc.)
+ Generating regulatory-and customer Environmental, Health, and Safety reports and KPIs.
+ Proven ability to implement and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems (e.g., ISO45001, ISO14001).
+ Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and effectively engage customers, team members, regulatory agencies.
+ Self-starter with a proactive approach to EHS challenges and solutions.
+ Proficiency in MS Office and other IT tools.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with site management, EU and Global O&M teams, site teams and external resources.

As a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager, you are responsible for the occupational safety department at our Fulfillment center and lead a team. You work closely with local management to continuously improve local occupational health and safety standards and coordinate the implementation of internal company and legal requirements for occupational health and safety.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage on-site teams and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with health and safety laws, guidelines, and company policies
- Use internal reporting tools to analyze data and provide leadership with information to make safety-related decisions
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety training programs, ergonomics initiatives, and prevention programs to improve the safety culture
- Perform risk assessments for new processes and machines, review changes to standardized processes, and update existing risk assessments
- Promote commitment to occupational health and safety measures among management and employees to foster a strong safety culture

This is an extremely varied role based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You will manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency. You'll also manage your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements. Your role is instrumental in keeping employees safe, managing their satisfaction, and supervising their wellbeing and productivity. You'll step in and take ownership of health and safety to foster a culture that revolves around operating safely.
About the team
Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, making sure we're complying with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe. There is a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. No matter what your role is, you'll play a part in developing, implementing and upholding our high safety and wellbeing standards. You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building and equipment design.
Basic Qualifications
- A degree, or equivalent level of qualification in-line with the European Qualifications Framework (EFQ), in the Occupational Safety field
- Alternatively, a NEBOSH Diploma or an IOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety is required
- Relevant experience managing a team
- Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
- Strong customer orientation

Our client, a leading Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation headquartered in Ireland, with facilities in both Ireland and the UK are seeking an experienced Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental (OSHE) professional to join the team at their Dublin Airport facility.
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this key role will lead and develop the company’s OSHE management system across multiple sites.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead and develop the company’s safety, health, and environmental management system.
Ensure all operations are compliant with relevant OSHE legislation, standards, and licenses.
Develop and enforce company-wide OSHE policies and procedures.
Conduct regular risk assessments, maintain the risk register, and implement corrective actions.
Proactively identify and implement safety and environmental improvement projects.
Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, developing strategies for prevention.
Deliver and manage safety and environmental training requirements, including toolbox talks.
Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
Maintain reporting on safety and environmental performance for management and regulators.
Oversee waste management, pollution control, sustainability, and CSRD initiatives.
Maintain emergency response plans and lead drills.
Ensure adequate stocks of PPE, first aid, and emergency equipment.
Support facility-related projects and other OSHE duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar OSHE role, ideally in an aviation or MRO environment.
Train the Trainer or equivalent certification in safety training delivery.
Strong working knowledge of current OSHE legislation and best practices.
Proven ability to influence and lead safety culture initiatives across teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and training skills.
High level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office.
Must be eligible to obtain an airside pass (5-year background check) and pass a pre-employment medical including drug screening.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Must have full working rights in Ireland.
