Completing chores that have been assigned and delegated involves providing direct care as well as all areas of daily living, such as eating, dressing, undressing, toileting, washing, and conversing with others. Encourage each resident's freedom while respecting their privacy and dignity. Residents with limited mobility should receive special attention and assistance. Key Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring all policies, procedures and guidelines are implemented and in practice at all levels of staff throughout the home.Responsible for providing support and strategic and clinical leadership and direction for nursing and related services which results in the delivery of effective, efficient, quality assured and resident centered care.Responsible for compliance with all Regulations relevant to our sector.Responsible for all clinical documentation within the home and ensuring systems are always up to date.Responsible for spot checks and internal audit of documentation in the homes with follow up and action plans arising.Responsible for driving an environment of continuous improvement and best practice in the home.RequirementsMinimum of 3 years Director of Nursing/Person in Charge experience.Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).Demonstrable experience of strategic and clinical leadership adhering to HIQA standards, procedures and guidelines.Strong financial, budgetary and administrative knowledge.Demonstrable people management and leadership skills is essential.Post registration management qualification in health or a related field is required. Responsibilities The designated individual will be tasked with supporting the Director of Nursing with the daily management and general operations of the home.Take on full responsibility for helping the Director of Nursing with patient care and housekeeping duties around the clock.Show clinical proficiency in the treatment of those under our care while being aware of current best practices.Participate actively in nurse rounds and oversee the day-to-day operations of the household.Assist qualified nurses with clinical support and guidance while evaluating their competency levels by current best practices.Should the Director of Nursing be absent, the designated individual will take on the responsibilities of the person in charge.After a six-month probationary term, the position is full-time and permanent.
