**About the Role**
The **Senior Director of Product Innovation** will be responsible for generating new growth for Optum Rx by partnering closely with Optum Rx businesses and the broader UHG enterprise to identify and qualify new product opportunities for the PBM. Reporting up to the VP, OptumRx (Ireland) and dotted line to the SVP, Strategy & Innovation (US), the Senior Director of Product Innovation will develop a sustainable pipeline of new product ideas for build in order to deliver on the Product team's annual Gross Margin goals and to differentiate Optum Rx in the marketplace.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the search, evaluation, and prioritization to build a pipeline of new product opportunities for ORx' PBM business
+ Facilitate group brainstorming sessions to inspire, solicit, hone, and prioritize innovation ideas
+ Stand-up and conduct routine product innovation sessions with various Optum Rx business teams
+ Develop and review financial models, what-if scenarios, sensitivity tables and the like to evaluate product ideas
+ Create and articulate business case for highest impact product opportunities across the organization
+ Influence SLT, ELT members at ORx, Optum, and UHG in formulating and prioritizing innovation opportunities for maximum organizational impact
+ Develop cross-Optum and UHC relationships to co-develop new enterprise-based product opportunities
+ Build client relationships and councils to solicit feedback and identify potential clients for pilot
+ Develop recommendations to senior executives based on analyses to identify the highest value opportunities to purse
+ Development of dashboards to monitor pipeline value over time
+ Continuously improve innovation processes to increase product success rates and generate highest returns
+ Support product progression through build and execution phases
+ Maintain knowledge of internal products and strategies, competitors, and trends impacting the market
+ Serve as an innovation thought leader to internal and external partners and clients
+ Serve as SME to peers and leads across Product, P&L, and Growth teams on promote or demote validity of new ideas
+ Develop analysts on team in areas of market research and business case analysis to enable them to create senior executive presentations with recommendations
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Extensive product and innovation experience
+ Healthcare experience
+ Healthcare consulting or banking experience
+ Experience delivering results with large-scale, cross-functional teams in highly matrixed organizations
+ Experience succinctly communicating product recommendations and opportunities to senior leaders
+ Experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams in large organizations, navigating ambiguity, and persisting through barriers
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Willingness to travel up to 25%
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MHA) or equivalent experience
+ Experience facilitating focus groups and/or brainstorming sessions
+ Experience product development experience within pharmacy or pharmacy benefits management
+ Background in working directly with healthcare startups to develop solutions to meet internal and/or client needs
+ Experience interfacing directly with health plan and/or employer clients
+ Direct experience in pharmacy and pharmacy benefits management
+ Working knowledge of the payer and health services industry

The Patient Safety, Quality and Innovation Department drives provision of safe and effective care in all Beacon Hospital departments through data driven performance measurement and process improvement.
The overall aim of this post is to unite service design and improvement initiatives with data measures and results publication.
The postholder will support person centred care delivery through driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This post also supports clinical governance activities in the hospital through measurements of organisation Key Performance Indicators and publication of Organisation KPI dashboard.
The post holder will work with all members of the organisation so that quality improvement initiatives are supported by relevant and accessible data and that results are published and disseminated.
The post holder will be responsible for the development of the minimum clinical data collection plans for Quality Improvement Projects, Clinical Practice Guidelines, International Patient Safety Goal monitoring as well as other nominated Key Performance Indicators.
The post holder will undertake to keep up to date with new developments in process improvement and data management in Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Co-ordinate the capture of data and analysis of Patient Safety data monthly, reporting on trends.
Collation, analysis and reporting of Board Key Performance Indicator Data on a monthly and quarterly basis including Library of Measures data.
Assist department heads and managers with implementing Quality Improvement Initiatives by providing education, resources and tools.
Utilise and analyse data including, but not limited to, patient feedback and quality notifications to inform and guide these quality improvement initiatives.
Disseminate findings from quality improvement initiatives across the hospital to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Supporting departmental statistical data analysis.
This includes providing meaningful statistics that describe the day to day operations.

Tyndall National Institute is an international leader in semiconductor research and innovation and a key actor and hosting partner in the delivery of the European Commission's 'Chips for Europe Initiative' (EU Chips Act).
As Ireland's leading research and innovation organisation and a flagship Institute of University College Cork, Tyndall's mission is to have a significant impact on the economic development of Ireland within a European and global context. Tyndall plays a major role in the delivery of 'Silicon Island', Ireland's national semiconductor strategy through its collaboration with industry, the commercialisation of intellectual property and the creation of new semiconductor related start-ups. With an annual turnover of around €60 million, the Institute has a community of 700 researchers, innovators, engineers, support staff, postgraduate students, and industry researchers-in-residence.
Significant progress has been made against the ambitious goals set out in the last Strategic Plan (Tyndall 2025) and the foundations have been laid for a new strategy that will see additional growth with more focus on the semiconductor sector out to 2030 and beyond. With significant committed Irish government support and EU Chips Act funding, our emerging strategy will see Tyndall scale in both capacity and capability for its innovation and industry engagement activities.
The new senior executive role of Director of Innovation and Industry Engagement was established in response to these investments and to ensure that we realise our ambitions for Ireland and the global semiconductor sector.
Reporting to the Tyndall CEO, the role will be responsible for all aspects, strategic and operational, of the Institute's innovation (commercialisation and new ventures, start-ups, spin-outs and spin-ins) and industry engagement (business development, collaborative research, EU Chips Act Pilot Lines) activities and portfolio. As a core member of the Tyndall Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Director of Innovation and Industry Engagement will take overall executive responsibility for the delivery of our actions and activities in support of the 'Silicon Island' National Strategy and for ensuring that Tyndall remains best-in-class in working with the semiconductor and related sectors.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeadership and oversight of all aspects of Tyndall's innovation and entrepreneurship strategy and delivery, including the creation of spin-outs, support for start-ups, IP commercialisation, externally funded initiatives, ecosystem development activities, and entrepreneurial culture and capability.
Leadership and oversight of all aspects of Tyndall's industry engagement strategy and delivery, including the development and maintenance of strategic industry partnerships with large enterprises, development of the Irish semiconductor sector and support for SMEs, business development across the Institute, and support for research teams seeking industry partners.
Ensuring the success and sustainability of major externally funded activities such as the EU I-C3Chips Competence Centre and Tyndall's EU Chips Act Pilot Line Activities and the MCCI Technology Centre.
Executive responsibility for our partnership and mission delivery for relevant State Agencies such as Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland.
