Field Sales Representative - Midlands Construction & Building Materials Sector FRS Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading Irish builders' provider to recruit an experienced and commercially driven Sales Representative for the Midlands region, supporting growth across the Midlands branches. With nearly two centuries of industry heritage behind them, our client is one of Ireland's most respected and trusted names in the construction supply sector - offering a full-service solution to builders, contractors, developers, and DIY customers nationwide. The Opportunity This is a high-impact role in a strategically important territory with significant untapped potential. We're seeking someone who thrives on building long-term relationships and converting opportunity into tangible commercial success. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute targeted sales plans to grow revenue and increase market share in the Midlands. Proactively identify and engage new customers - including builders, contractors, and developers. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to boost retention and spend. Attend site visits, client meetings, and industry events to build rapport and raise brand presence in the region. Monitor local construction trends, competitor activity, and client needs to shape your sales strategy. Understand the full product portfolio and guide clients toward the best solutions for their projects. Work with internal sales, procurement, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery. What We're Looking For 3-5+ years' experience in business development or field sales, within building materials, construction, or trade sectors Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the construction industry A proactive, strategic, and results-focused approach Excellent organisational and time management skills Interested?
