Welder / Fabricator Clearway Disposals is Irelands largest scrap exporter and operates a metal recycling facility serving NI & ROI. We operate our own fleet of trucks/ skips, heavy plant and machinery, due to increased growth in our sector and company we are seeking to employ a Welder Fabricator. Job Type: Full Time Position Location:Portadown Core hours: Mon Friday 8am 5pm (overtime as required at enhanced rate) Benefits Additionally, there Is also a Christmas bonus payment paid out in December, this can be discussed in more detail at the interview stage. Must be flexible for occasional Saturday work 8am 1pm Competitive rate of pay will be offered to the right candidate, discussed in more detail at interview. 29 days annual leave inclusive of statutory days. Role This role will include a number of tasks, including; Preparation and maintenance of skips and containers Basic repair of onsite equipment and machinery Requirements Excellent welding skills Basic painting skills for respraying of skip containers Positive can do attitude with a good work ethic Ability to take direction Ability to work unsupervised to a high standard of workmanship and to deadlines.

Harrington's Concrete & Quarries ULC and are now recruiting for Metal Fabrication Welders to join our team in Quarry setting. Key Objective: The Welder, Fabricator positions encompasses Production Welding, Fabrication and Quality responsibilities. Duties include analysing drawings, welding jobs, maintaining production standards and producing consistently accurate work. Principal Duties Measure, mark out, cut and weld mild steel. Use a range of metal fabrication processes Perform a range of welding processes Interpret technical drawings and specifications Experienced in BOC gas cutting. Install structural steel systems. Carry out safe workshop practices including marking out, drilling, tapping, riveting. Work with a variety of specialised hand and power tools. Provides feedback and input into the fabrication process regarding order of assembly, design, materials, fixtures and jigs. Produces work daily that is consistently accurate. Adhere to workshop systems. Manage the area of the workshop in a safe and cost-effective manner. Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality. Understand the importance of efficiency and productivity. Ohter duties as required by the manager. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to frequently stand, sit, twist and use their hands, fingers and wrists to grip, twist and bend to operate controls. The employee will occasionally be required to walk, stoop, pull objects, kneel and climb stairs. The employee will be required to occasionally reach high and low and lift items. Gross and fine motor skills required Working Conditions: Based in a fabrication workshop environment in a quarry setting. May require occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project demands. Physically demanding role, involving standing, lifting, and working in various positions. Experience: 2-3 years of workshop experience in welding/fabrication Ability to read and understand drawings, including welding diagrams. Ability to use hand tools. Incumbents are required to have an understanding of fabrication processes. Full clean driver's license. Able to communicate and be fluent in English (written and spoken) Ability to work on own initiative or with a team and to strict deadlines. Flexible and adaptable. Certifications: Apprenticeship in Metal/Fab, college or certified industry courses in welding techniques. Working Days - Monday to Friday.
