The Opportunity As a Loan Officer, youll play a key role in the credit unions lending team working directly with members to assess loan applications and support them through the borrowing journey. Youll handle personal and home loans, assess creditworthiness, and ensure all decisions are made in line with internal policy and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Assess and process personal and home loan applications Carry out affordability checks and credit assessments Liaise with members to request or clarify supporting documentation Ensure compliance with lending policies and the credit union's risk framework Prepare recommendations for approval or decline Provide excellent customer service throughout the loan process What Youll Need: APA in Loans (QFA a strong advantage) Minimum 2 years' experience in a lending, credit, or banking role A solid understanding of credit principles and lending regulations Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Whats on Offer: Full-time, permanent role with a well-established credit union Hybrid work model available post-probation Strong emphasis on employee support, learning, and development Exposure to a wide range of lending cases A collaborative, member-focused culture with a close-knit team Convenient location in Dublin City Ready to take the next step in your lending career?
