This is an ideal role for someone with a genuine interest in using their qualification to help those in need and offers a great opportunity to gain both commercial experience and senior stakeholder engagement.

The role offers great progression, with a clear route to Finance Manager in a short space of time.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role will be responsible for day to day accounting of specific divisions of the organisation. Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts, consolidation process and financial statement preparation;
  • Contribute in KPI analysis, cash-flow forecasting, and board reporting preparation;
  • Support in the development of FP&A processes;
  • Oversight of AR/AP team outputs;
  • On-going process improvement and ad-hoc projects as they arise.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified Accountant with at 0-3 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA);
  • Genuine interest in not for profit and the charity sector;
  • Industry experience is preferred;
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills;
  • Self-starter who is motivated, innovative and ambitious;
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel.

They are currently recruiting for a newly qualified Financial Accountant to join their ranks and continue their tradition of success. This person will play an important role across all areas of finance for the entity, as well as supporting the FP&A and Operations teams and other ad hoc tasks as necessary. Offices are based close to the city centre and on the green Luas line. Reporting to: Financial Controller Key Activities Play an active role in month end including: Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts Ensure all areas are prepared to a high degree of accuracy Work with the Financial Controller and other finance team members on timely delivery of management accounts Manage general ledger postings, reconciliations and journal entries Work with local compliance partners of foreign subsidiaries around tax and statutory filings. Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all completed accurately and on time Provide support to the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing necessary schedules. Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring adherence to company policies Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
